So to get right into it, if I can find a picture of my very first businesscard design, I will put that right here for you guys to see.

And I think thatkind of worked because they got a lot of calls and people were like, "Oh okay they lookfriendly, you know, let me sell my house to them.

" But that's-- so that's when Ivery first started and, again, I used what I had.

I had a selfie with me and my mom;really nice looking or whatever, put it on the card; put our name, number, info andall that good stuff.

We had a gmail and we still have a gmail.

This is to tellyou that you don't need anything fancy.

Again, it cost me nothing to design thecard.

I use a Google Voice number and a gmail so all free things.

So the point isjust to get your information slathered on a card and get it into people's hands.

As manyhands as possible.

So, on this lovely, handy-dandy card, we have my company'slogo.

Now, someone told me about a floor test.

So if you drop your business cardon the floor, or if, for whatever reason, your business card just happens to be onthe floor-- "How dare they drop my card on the floor?!" You want to make sure that atleast your logo, your company's name is visible from when you're standing up.

"CanI stand up and see the logo? I sure can.

" So, that's test number one.

Whereveryou decide to put your logo--ours is smack dab in the center--you can put itanywhere you want, but make sure it's big enough to be seen.

You, of course, want your name, your phone number, and what other ways to contact you.

When I firststarted, I didn't have a website so of course there was no website on my card Ijust had my name, my mom's name, my title, her title, and our joint email address--email account--yeah, our joint email and our individual phone numbers.

So that's on the front of the card.

Now, we've upgraded our lives, we have a website soalong with our phone number, title, and name, we have our website on thefront and then the email address on the back of the card.

So let's get right intothe back of the card.

Different color.

These are obviously our company colors.

But, uh, I would suggest a bright color.

This isn't too bright, but it does stand out.

So get youa bright color.

You can get it on both sides I just wanted to be fancy andhave two different, you know.

So on the back of my business card,it has info for sellers and it has info for buyers slash renters, because youpretty much do at all.

So it pretty much just says that if you're a seller facingforeclosure, inherited a property, relocating, abandoned property, all that goodstuff, contact us.

Together we can find a solution.

Real simple guys.

That's all it takes really.

And yeah, got the logo again onthe back so this one doesn't pass the floor test but that's okay because it'sthe back of the card.

And, um Maybe if anything, I would say the font could be alittle bigger.

You can't see it.

So here is my two centson how to design a business card to stand out, again, take this information ordon't.

But, definitely think you should have a bright color: some color that stands out.

If you have a logo and a company name, have that large and incharge so people can see that from very far away.

I know an investor who has abright neon orange business card.

No company name, no logo, but in big blackletters it says "We Buy Houses".

Take that idea.

So, bright color, large enough fontor logo, of course, your name and contact information and what it is that you do.

So on the back, like I said, I have information for sellers and buyers tolet them know who we are and what we do.

So keeping it real simple that's aboutit.

Oh, another bonus tip--not really a bonus tip, but the front of my card isglossy just to the touch and the back of my card is not glossy.

Now, I do have somespace on my card for someone to write because every time I collect businesscards, I like to write how I met them or anything-- if I want to jot anything ontheir card I want to be able to do so.

So if you have a glossy front and back, youcan't write on glossy cards.

So that's why the back it's not a glossy, the frontis.

Hi everyone this is Nicki with DesignLike a Pro and in this episode I'm going to show you how to design a program nowthis is basically a multi-page booklet that we're going to design and it's areally popular type of project to be working on an InDesign because it coversso many different industries from dance recitals to church bulletins or programsbasically any type of event or situation where you need to design multiple pageswithin a booklet this is for you now this tutorial is a beginner tutorialthere's a few advanced techniques in here but if you are just starting outwith InDesign this is a perfect tutorial for you because we are gonna go overimporting photos editing and placing text working with character styles andtabs that are really ideal for this type of a program and then also we're goingto save out this program in two different formats which I do have veryspecific tutorials here on design like a pro that I will link for you below butthis is going to go through both options regardless of whether you have a PC or aMac so you should be covered if you're going to be printing professionally orif you're gonna print in-house which let's face it when we're test asdesigners to do recital booklets for example in programs we really don't havea lot of time and we may be making something very simple that we are goingto print in-house so this is going to cover all of those scenarios for you solet's go ahead and dive in I am using the latest version of InDesign but asalways my tutorials here are really friendly to any version that you mayhave available so let's go ahead and fire up and design and get started okayso what we have here is the starting screen that we are going to work withand we're going to create our document size so I'm working with inches you guysthe latest versions of InDesign really make this easy to switch between unitshere so that you can pick what works for you and we are going to create a fiveand a half by eight-and-a-half booklet this is basically half of a letter sizewhich is ideal for many booklets this allows you to print this in-houseyou have a copy machine that's gonna do double-sided printing for you this isgonna allow you to do that on just a regular sheet of paper which is aperfect situation so we're gonna change this to five and a half by eight and ahalf and you can see below here we can see that effect taking so we can seeexactly what the page size is gonna be so there's a few more settings that weare going to leave checked here facing pages because this is a booklet we aregoing to leave facing pages checked if you don't nothing really horrible isgoing to happen but this is just going to flow more like a booklet if we keepthese checked instead of having the pages stacked individually if you knowhow many pages you're going to have you can definitely add that amount here justkeep in mind that in order to have a complete booklet you do have to have theright amount of pages and as I've stated in previous lessons regarding multiplepage booklets an easy standard to go by is something that is divisible by 4because booklets are going to at minimum be four pages to front to back right soas long as you're increasing your page count by four you should be good to goand have a complete booklet meaning that you're not going to have any blank pagesthat you have to deal with so our booklet is just going to be a basic fourpages in this case it's going to be a front and a back you can mark here ifyou want your page to start on a number other than one but in this case we dowant to just start with one and the only other thing that we are gonna add hereis a bleed even if you're printing in-house it's a really good habit tojust automatically apply a bleed here because then you're really thinkingabout items that may go off the page if you're gonna print in house and you'renot dealing with a bleed you don't need this extra feature but like I said I'min the habit of doing this because you just never know and it's a lot easier tohave this from the beginning than to have to go back and add it so these areall of the settings we're going to go ahead and create this and you can seehere that we have our four pages and then it is going to create a completebooklet ie our front and back and then the inside pages if we wanted to addmore we could but like I said you have to add at leastfour pages to make it a complete book so four is the minimum but we could haveeight pages then we need to go up to twelve pages and so on so just keep inmind that if you want to have a complete book you have to go up at least four weare just going to stick to four pages here for the ease of this tutorial solet's go ahead and get started I like to work from the cover down if I have allof the content with me I am very familiar though with having to wait forcontent and not always having everything you need right when you need it so ifthat's the case design for what you have but we're just gonna start with thecover first so I've created a scenario that's very common in the design worldwhere you're given limited information but you just need to work with what youhave so I have three images that I'm going to use here and need to place themstrategically and I have decided to use this because we do have a dance recitalso we're going to use this photo for the cover but we just want to createsomething really neat for the cover you could just drop this photo in here andit's done but I'm just gonna show you a quick little technique to make this alittle bit nicer and this is definitely gonna work very nicely if you're goingto have this professionally printed but it is also friendly to print in-house ifyou need to so I'm dropping this photo in and then I'm going to hold down ctrlor command shift to scale this all the way down so it fills the frame now wordof note here you need to have a high-resolution image meaning that thisis at least 300 out of your camera so that it fills this nicely and it's notpixelated so just make sure that you're not using a web resolution photo thatyou are using a print resolution photo good rule of thumb is anything that's atleast 5 inches by 7 inches is a good place to start you can scale that up anddown pretty nicely without losing any quality for print so now we have thatfilling our page here I'm not going to worry about this going all the way downand you'll see why in a second because I want to place some things on top of hereI want to add a gradient fade to white which is gonnabe really friendly for printing this in-house if we want to but it's justgonna create a neat effect as well I'm gonna move this up just a little bit togive even more white space down here and this is a fun technique so just rightclicking on the photo going to effects and then gradient feather is going tocreate this really cool effect so here is my dialogue box I'm making sure thatpreview is checked so I can see what I'm doing and I want this to start from thebottom and work up now you can see that a couple of things I'm getting someweird lines here this is just an effect of InDesign previewing this for me thisis not going to print like this and you'll see that in the final PDF that itis not going to print like this so I'm seeing this you actually may not seethis it is just an error in the way that it's previewing but we also don't wantthis white to be all the way up here I kind of want to keep it right around thebottom of the ballet shoe and in order to do that we can adjust how thisgradient flows by moving these sliders up here so this kind of cuts it a littlebit shorter the idea is that we don't see a harsh line so I can move the blackup a little bit I can move this a little bit closer to it to get a little morewhite you can even scale this in a little bit to get a little more white sothe idea is just to find a nice compromise without getting too harsh ofa white line and so you can adjust this based on your photo to accomplish thatand when you get something that you like go ahead and hit OK and if you want topreview what you're doing really quick just hit W and I can see now that Idon't have a harsh line there and it's gonna look really nicely when we laysomething on top of it if you want to see this in a high quality just go aheadand change that to high quality it helps a little bit it gets rid of thepixelation of the photo and I can now see it in a in a higher quality and youcan see that those lines are changing as I move around here so those again arenot going to print it's just an error in the way that this is displaying so thenext step is to add some content on top if this is a programtypically it's probably going to be the name of the program or event right solet's go ahead and drop some text in here I'm just going to start typing 2018and it's gonna be a spring recital and it's for a dance school all right nowwe've dropped in some text let's go ahead and style that I want to Centeralign it and I want to do some different fonts here so let's find something herewant something scripty really soft it's a ballet right so we want something alittle bit more soft not too edgy or modern and we're going to bring this upquite a bit and you can see that the air is coming into the 2018 so I'm going toincrease the spacing between that and then bringing dance school down as welland I want to make dance school a nice clean sans-serif and then I'm going tomake it all caps as well bump up the size a little bit and one tip I havewhenever you're making anything all caps it's much easier to read when you addsome decent space between your letters so I would always advise a minimum of 50spacing here between your tracking so I'm up a little bit more because I likeit to be even more space between there but it is a really nice way to go and itmakes it again it makes it a lot easier to read okay so now we have somethinglike this I can go ahead now and move on but I'm gonna take it to the next leveland just add a little bit of color here and a box to separate it from thebackground again you can just leave it just as it is but why not go anotherstep so I'm gonna come over here and grab my rectangle tool and just dry itout and let's go ahead and fill that with a grey colorI'm gonna create a new swatch because we do not have a grey color and I want itto be about 80% on the black so we're going to add it and you can see now thatI have that swatch to use in the future problem is it's covering up myso I need to right click arrange and we're gonna send backward one and thenthat allows me to see my text and then I'm going to hold down shift and clickthe text box so the rectangle and the text box is selected come over here andI just want to make sure that everything is Center aligned with my text box andthe black is a little bit hard to read on that dark grey so I'm going to selectthe text box come over here and hit the T and that's going to change it to thefont color instead of a fill color so we're gonna change it to a differentcolor here and let's go with white and now you can see that that contrast is alot nicer okay and then there's only one other thing we're gonna do and we'regonna add some color to this box by creating a stroke around it so let'scome up here to stroke and create a nice size about five and we want that to be adashed line and then I'm gonna come back over here to swatches select the strokeit'll bring it to the front and I want to add a nice pink color one tip I haveis always to pull colors from the images that you're using it's a great way totie your color palettes together and it gives you some color ideas if you'recompletely stuck on what to do so we are going to create a nice pink color andyou can do this just by dragging around here and finding something that issimilar you can also use the eyedropper tool over here if you would like but Iwant I don't want as light of pink as the ballet shoe I just want somethingthat is close to it all right we'll try something like that and now you can seethat we have a nice pink stroke and it looks like it goes with this photo sothat just dressed things up a little bit for you and now it's time to move on toour interior pages so I'm going to zoom out here so you can see we now have aleft and a right page so typically what is good on these pages is it's going tobe the program itself we're confine this to two pages just to showyou some examples of formatting text for a program but you can continue thisprogram as many pages as you need to so my trick is always to work from the backforward meaning I place images first which is then going to allow me tounderstand where I can place text so it's time for our next ballet image andwe've got this cute little image of these girls so we're going to place thisnow here's a tip for you again I'm gonna hold down command or control shift tosize this if you are going to print this in-house I would strongly advise thatyou keep all of your content within these pink margins just to ensure thatwhen you print you don't have an issue with things being really close to theedge and then you'll have a nice border around everything that's uniform acrossall of your pages so the same would be true for this cover image you may wantto bring this guy in to this margin line and that way if you were to print thisin house you're not gonna have issues you're gonna have this white border herebut again it's gonna look nice and even for all situations if you're going tohave this professionally printed then definitely maximize bleeds because itlooks nicer to go all the way across but that's one very quick way to accommodatewhether you're going to be printing in-house or not so in this case we arejust going to take it all the way to the edge because we are not going to beprinting this in-house so I'm going to position this though so that these girlsare a little bit up so that I have some space down here basically moving that upso we're just kind of chopping them off a little bit but I will say when itcomes to dance photos you always want to show the feet if anything so it is a petpeeve of mine when people cut the feet off of dancers okay so this gives us alittle bit of space down here and down here we are going to put essentially thenames of our dancers that's that's a good place for this before we do thatthough I'm going to dress this up a little bit by grabbing the linetool I'm just gonna hold down shift and drag this to the end come over here backto stroke and add a nice thick pink line to this something like that and the pinkis already selected from what we were previously doing on the cover if it'snot you can go ahead and select that and that just gives us a little dressy linethat kind of breaks up our photo from our text so now we're going to add inthe names of our students and I just have some filler text here you wouldobviously use content that you have but I am playing this off like we have aname of a character that maybe our dancer is performing and then theiractual name so in this case I'm just writing this out and then I am going toadd a tab one tab here and then we're going to style the tab so if you'venever played with tabs this is a great opportunity to learn how to do them andin this case it's a programs or great use of tabs and tabs basically in theway that we're using this is to have those dots that go all the way acrossseparating two items of content and then you would continue that down the list soit's really great for names in this situation so we're going to come up hereto type tabs and a little box pops up that allows us to style this so wealready have our tab placed so we can see this in action as we're doing itwhich is really helpful we want a right justified tab meaning that it's going toend on the right side of our text box and then we want a period here or a dotas the leader so this is what's going to be duplicated across the entire spacefor our tabs and if I drag out here you can see now that I am placing where Iwant this tab to end and right now I want something like that and if theperiod disappeared just go ahead and put it back and hit enter and now you cansee we have our tab filled in with dots and this will basically continue for aslong as you want it to once you've styled it in my case I am just going toduplicate this down so that we essentially havewhat we want here but you would be typing in the names as you have them butagain this is a really great way to create a justified and even namingsequence for our program so when you're done there I'm going to zoom in herebecause now we're going to do a few things we're gonna style this a littlecleaner notice that I have this a little bit outside of the margin so I'm justgoing to Center that up a little bit better that way we're not too close tothe edge so from here I want to style this first and last so that there's avisual difference between the two things so we've got our character name and ourfirst and last name I want the first and last name to be stat a little differentfirst of all I would like it to be all caps and I am going to change the entirefont here too so let's say Adobe Castellon Pro all right now I'm stylingthis right here because I want to show you a really quick way to stylesomething and then use it again and again and again for similar items so inthis case we want this to be all caps and we're gonna add about eightytracking and we want this to be bold so you can see that that helps that area ofcontent stand out from the other area of content but I want to apply it toeverything below and in this case we're going to highlight this and come overhere to character Styles if you do not see character Styles it's available inStyles character Styles under the window tab and so from here we click the littlehamburger drop-down and create a new character style and the dialog box comesup and let's give it a name let's call it dancer name for reference and you cansee that the styles are being captured here the way that we styled it and if wego ahead and hit OK we now have a character style saved based on this textright here so now if I select all the other ones I can quickly style all of myother names to match making sure that I'm just selecting thetexts that I would like to be styled in this manner okay so you now quickly Ihave been able to style all of this different than the character name overhere and if you find that you want to make further changes a beautiful thingabout character Styles is that if you double click and come back into ourbasic character format we can do some other things here we can say that maybewe want it to be italicized and you can see that any case that's been appliedthe character style and our first one wasn't so we need to go back and fixthat but anytime that we've used that character style it's going toautomatically change for us so it changes all cases of that characterstyle which is a really awesome thing and saves so much time so let's go backand make sure that our example our first example is also labeled dancer name thatway it's good to go the only other thing I'm gonna do here is just add a littlebit more spacing to fill it out you would accommodate this based on how manynames you have here but that just fills out our naming a little bit better sonow we've got something like this okay so in that way you learned how to how touse tabs and then how to maximize using character styles to save a lot of timeand effort when styling a lot of the same text on this next page in programland it's very useful to use this page as your actual program right so in thiscase I have again some examples to save us some timeso I'm going to just copy that over here in the case that I just copied this overa lot of times you may be getting information from another resource whichit may be in a Word document so you can just copy that text over here and ctrlor command C and then ctrl or command V will paste it as a text box so if you'regetting it from an email whatever you may be getting this text from if you'renot typing out yourself that is how you bring it over again I'm gonna Centeralign this and now this is ready to styleand we're going to use different sizes and different fonts to get this stylethat we want this is a really good tip because a lot of times you just get textlike this it's fine but there's no visual hierarchy here so in this case wewould like to have some visual hierarchy so doing so via different fonts and alsodifferent sizes is the way to do that now keep in mind when I say differentfonts I do not mean going crazy with your fonts I still like to keep my fontchoices to three or less but it's how you use them that makes it stand out sofor example the title act 1 let's give that a nice script font and we're gonnamake this a lot larger so that we can read it ok so that softens it up it goeswith our ballet dance theme that we already have going on for the rest ofour text I'm going to keep in line with the same font that we used over here forour names so that was Adobe Castle on pro I'm gonna set that and then tofurther enhance this I'm just going to italicize the song name so again you cancreate a character style out of this if you would like to to quickly change thesong name going forward so that it's italicized so I have that and so let'sgo over here and just quickly create a song named character style and do thesame thing for our axe because we're going to have more than one come throughhere and then this is going to be our act title basically and ok so now wehave our act styled and essentially what this is is the dancers over here wouldbe listed under the song name when you actually had content so we are going tomove all of this up slightly just to maximize our space and we have two moreacts that we need to fit in here I am just duplicating what I already have inthe interest of time you would then continue on with your actual content sothis is going to allow us to our character styles that we justcreated to quickly style our content okayand this needs to be act 2 alright and then I want to go ahead andmake these dots pink just to get a little bit of color in here and in thiscase we've got say 2 X you can continue on with your ax as long as you need tobut in this case we're gonna stop here just in the interest of time so if youhad more keep going with this but now we just have 2 X it's a short recital andwe're ready to design the back page so the back page is completely up to youthere's so many options for designing the back of a program I tend to use theback of the program as a contact mechanism or an ad so in this case we'rejust going to do a very quick add learning parents to next year'sregistration of classes and a website to sign up so I have a photo that we aregoing to use it's this adorable horizontal photo I actually want this tobe a vertical photo though so I am going to extend the frame and right-click onthis go to fitting Phil frame proportionately gives us a verticalphoto now since we had enough room and I'm just gonna move her in here and I'messentially holding this over the circle so that I get the hand icon and you cansee that I'm dragging the photo within the frame so I can align this exactlyhow I want to and then a quick W to preview that shows us that she's nowwithin that and we basically got a vertical photo out of a horizontal photoand we have space now above her head for some text content so we are just goingto use a similar format and do not create the recreate the wheel guys justcopy what you already have in this case we are going to copy this text and weare going to paste it over here and drop it over between our marginlines here we're gonna change this to 2019 all right 2019 and this is just gonnasay class registration and then I'm going to delete dance school for rightnow because we're gonna do something different all right and we can leavethis white if we want to it's very easy to read but I want to make it that nicepink color that we've been using just to tie into her dress her little tutu alittle bit butter right and the only other thing I'm going to add in here isa website I want to style this differently so I'm using a differenttext box here and it's just gonna be the website comm and we're going to centerthat up we are going to make this white just so that it contrasts nicely withthe pink we're gonna bring up the size not that much or can bring up the sizeof that to about 20 and then let's bring in a nice bold sans-serif font I alwayslike to capitalize the website it is just something that I do to make itstand out a little more okay and you can leave it like this but I'm gonna goanother step forward and kind of tie in the rectangle that we did at thebeginning of our cover and I want that to be a pink one and we just kind ofwant a stroked rectangle here I'm just eyeballing the placement but that justsort of ties it in nicely and gives it a nice little look okay so there you haveit now we have our complete four-page program ready to go so now what do we dowell we need to save this we need to save all of our hard work so let's saveas I already have one here so I'm just gonna save this as number two this issaving the InDesign document by the way and here we gonow we are going to save this file out for our printer this is if we are goingto professionally print this document and send it off to our printer so inthis case all we need to do is go to I'll export and save our document as aprint PDF and go ahead and save and then we get some options hereI have presets that I already have available in here that I am usingfrequently so I save those out and these in this case we want to have our bleedchecked because we are sending this to print output no color conversion if youneed to export out your PDF and change everything to CMYKthen you would convert to destination preserve numbers and then you would pickwhatever you need to pick for your country and your printing situation inmy case it would be a working CMYK web coded because I do print a lot most ofmy programs I will print uncoated paper advanced I have high-res outlines thisis a PDF preset that I use and I do have a tutorial on setting that up and theneverything else is default so we are hitting OK and then it's going to saveout our PDF and you can see here that this is what that looks like printed andagain you don't see the lines in the actual PDF and you can see thateverything looks okay we have the bleeds checked for printing so we're gonna getsome crossover from our other document and this is ready to send to print sothe only other situation is if you were printing in-house you don't want thepages to be individually stacked you actually want them to show up soregardless of whether you're on a PC or a Mac you would be using the print tobooklet feature it's just a matter of how the printer that you're going to useyou're going to use a postscript for your Mac and then run it through thedistiller which I have a tutorial on that shows you exactly how to do that ifyou're on a PC and you can print to PDF then you can use that feature as well soyou would pick your preset like you normally do if you need to and thesesettings are fine this is a 2 up settle stitch that's what we're going to bedoing because we're essentially printing this in-house and folding it in half ourpreview here shows our four pages as they should if this is wrong or you'vegot a little error here usually the problem is in your printsettings you need to make sure that your paper size says custom that way theactual page size of your document comes through here that's really important tomake sure that this says custom and not letter by default or another option andthen that makes sure that you've got everything fitting as it should and thenI typically just like to keep everything centered on the page but it is going toscale to a hundred percent so it should fit as you want it to again if you havethe option you can print directly to a PDF or you can print to a postscriptfile if you're on a Mac and then run it through the distiller to create yourfinal PDF and that will allow you to print it at your copy machine orwhatever is gonna allow you to print double-sided in this case you're notgoing to need a bleed you don't want it to print bleed that will actually throwyou off a little bit if you don't have the option to print larger thaneight-and-a-half by eleven for example so go ahead and turn that off in thisversion everything else is a okay the way that it is and then we go ahead andhit OK and then you can go ahead and print that PostScript file or print thePDF I just remove that dot INDD save it wherever you need to and now it's goingto create a postscript file for me that I can then create a PDF off of and if wecome over here you can see this postscript file right here and I can goahead and open this in distiller now I'm showing you this option because it isthe version that most of you are going to run into is needing to deal with thisPostScript and it's the one that has the most issues that can come up so ifyou're printing to a PDF just like you did the PostScript file you would justhave a PDF and you're done ready to send that to the printer but in thePostScript opportunity here this is the dialog box that comes up and we need tomake some choices again I have some presets in here so I want to make surethat I'm using those presets the PostScript file doesn't have any ofthose settings applied to it like you would if you were saving a PDF so weneed to go ahead set this and then the other thing thatyou need to double-check is the paper size this again is where a lot of peoplewill have issues so I'm gonna go ahead and run the PostScript file through hereand we'll see what we get but if you do have issues with alignment it usuallylies in your page size not matching up with the document and in this case I cantell you it's not because it's coming up as a portrait with the width it actuallyneeds to be the other way around because our double pages we're thinkingdouble pages now we designed a five and a half by eight-and-a-half booklet butthe pages are side by side so it's actually 11 by eight and a half right sowe just need to make sure that that page size reflects what we're actuallycreating so that when we print it out we print out our eight and half by elevenand fold that in half then we end up with our five and a half by eight and ahalf so you just have to be aware of that when you're doing this and if itdoesn't look right it's usually the paper size that is the issue so I'mgonna go ahead and drop that in there and then we're gonna go ahead and savethis out as a PDF and you can see that it's running through and it created aPDF now the moment of truth is to open this guy up and see what we get okay andhere we have our PDF and you can see that our pages are side by side exactlyhow we wanted side by side right so this is our front in our back and this is ourinside pages so from here I can go ahead and print this on any printer that Ihave access to that is going to allow me to print double-sided so I don'tactually have that in this case but you can now print this double-sided knowthat because you don't have these images in that you may have some issues soagain like I said earlier in the tutorial make sure that you've got whitespace around here to look a lot better but the technique is the same and youcan see the difference between saving this out for a professional printerwhere all of your pages are stacked and they can now take this and put thistogether versus the booklet version which allows you to print this in-housedouble-sided you can send this to your printer by the wayit's just that they typically prefer it like this in all my years of printingprinters prefer it this way where this is very handy if you're printing thisin-house because you don't have to worry about the pages being side by side sothat is two ways that you can save out your final document running it throughthe distiller and again if you have any issues with the way that it looks it ismost of the time related to your PDF settings and it is the page size as theissue as I noted if this was reversed by default we would have had an issuebecause it would have printed out our booklet in portrait mode instead oflandscape mode and we would have had an issue so that was fixing it to match thepage size originally thank you guys so much for watching I know this was apretty detailed tutorial but again this is a project that so many of you haverequested and a lot of us are tasked with doing pretty much on the fly whenyou're I just create a cutelittle design on Microsoft Word transport it into a PDF and send it outto the shipping-- the printing company and I get it the same day.

So to get right into it, if I can find a picture of my very first businesscard design, I will put that right here for you guys to see.

And I think thatkind of worked because they got a lot of calls and people were like, "Oh okay they lookfriendly, you know, let me sell my house to them.

" But that's-- so that's when Ivery first started and, again, I used what I had.

I had a selfie with me and my mom;really nice looking or whatever, put it on the card; put our name, number, info andall that good stuff.

We had a gmail and we still have a gmail.

This is to tellyou that you don't need anything fancy.

Again, it cost me nothing to design thecard.

I use a Google Voice number and a gmail so all free things.

So the point isjust to get your information slathered on a card and get it into people's hands.

As manyhands as possible.

So, on this lovely, handy-dandy card, we have my company'slogo.

Now, someone told me about a floor test.

So if you drop your business cardon the floor, or if, for whatever reason, your business card just happens to be onthe floor-- "How dare they drop my card on the floor?!" You want to make sure that atleast your logo, your company's name is visible from when you're standing up.

"CanI stand up and see the logo? I sure can.

" So, that's test number one.

Whereveryou decide to put your logo--ours is smack dab in the center--you can put itanywhere you want, but make sure it's big enough to be seen.

You, of course, want your name, your phone number, and what other ways to contact you.

When I firststarted, I didn't have a website so of course there was no website on my card Ijust had my name, my mom's name, my title, her title, and our joint email address--email account--yeah, our joint email and our individual phone numbers.

So that's on the front of the card.

Now, we've upgraded our lives, we have a website soalong with our phone number, title, and name, we have our website on thefront and then the email address on the back of the card.

So let's get right intothe back of the card.

Different color.

These are obviously our company colors.

But, uh, I would suggest a bright color.

This isn't too bright, but it does stand out.

So get youa bright color.

You can get it on both sides I just wanted to be fancy andhave two different, you know.

So on the back of my business card,it has info for sellers and it has info for buyers slash renters, because youpretty much do at all.

So it pretty much just says that if you're a seller facingforeclosure, inherited a property, relocating, abandoned property, all that goodstuff, contact us.

Together we can find a solution.

Real simple guys.

That's all it takes really.

And yeah, got the logo again onthe back so this one doesn't pass the floor test but that's okay because it'sthe back of the card.

And, um Maybe if anything, I would say the font could be alittle bigger.

You can't see it.

So here is my two centson how to design a business card to stand out, again, take this information ordon't.

But, definitely think you should have a bright color: some color that stands out.

If you have a logo and a company name, have that large and incharge so people can see that from very far away.

I know an investor who has abright neon orange business card.

No company name, no logo, but in big blackletters it says "We Buy Houses".

Take that idea.

So, bright color, large enough fontor logo, of course, your name and contact information and what it is that you do.

So on the back, like I said, I have information for sellers and buyers tolet them know who we are and what we do.

So keeping it real simple that's aboutit.

Oh, another bonus tip--not really a bonus tip, but the front of my card isglossy just to the touch and the back of my card is not glossy.

Now, I do have somespace on my card for someone to write because every time I collect businesscards, I like to write how I met them or anything-- if I want to jot anything ontheir card I want to be able to do so.

So if you have a glossy front and back, youcan't write on glossy cards.

So that's why the back it's not a glossy, the frontis.

need to make the correct documentfirst and foremost so choose print and then for my photography document I'mgoing to use a square layout I'm gonna make my document around 260millimeters by 216 millimeters the amount of pages that you're going toadd isn't too important right now because I'm going to show you how todelete and add pages later the default margins are fine and we want to add athree millimeter bleed to our document we can press the link icon to add thebleed around the entire book a document so here is our document for today'sInDesign tutorial I'm going to show you some neat tips on how to add pagenumbers across the entire document as well as some other tips later in today'stutorial we're going to add alt text and logo content in InDesign by seeing asit's the photography booklet we need to set up the imagery professionally inPhotoshop so in Photoshop make a document that isa square and the same size or larger than your InDesign document so I'm goingto use the thin slice around the document that is actually the bleedis going to be cut away after printing so do not put any crucial content inthis more area if you want to add or remove pages you have various differentoptions under the Layout tab you can manually add multiple pages as well asremove multiple pages or you can add a single page automatically now I'm goingto show you how to save time and add a specific part of your design across theentire booklet and for this you want to have the pages window open which you canclick on there right here or you can go up to window in them pages at the topyou're going to see the master pages and if you double click the master pageswe'd then be taken to a double page spread basically whatever you design andplace on these two pages here is going to appear across the entire document sofor example you can add page numbers to do this we take the type tool and weclick and drag to make a type box then go up to type insert special charactermarkers and then page numbers you actually in fact have an A up here ifyou press command or control T you can bring open the typography window andthen you can set the size and the style of the a this a is automatically goingto turn into every single page number on your document by InDesign which you willsee now so go back to the pages window and then select your document with adouble click and you're never gonna notice that thepage numbers are now on your document however we only added one side as youcan see so go back to the master pages and then you start option key toduplicate da over to the other side make sure that is aligned and mirroredperfectly with the first one now head back to your document and you'll noticethat you have page numbers across all pages the one problem that you now haveis that as a page number on the front cover and it is not really one andyou'll find that you can actually move and edit this numberso hover the cursor over it and then press command shift and click on a Macor ctrl shift and click on a PC and you're now going to be able to edit moveand delete this page number I'm going to quickly lay out a cover page with asimple techniques in InDesign you can choose the foreground color here andthen take the rectangle tool you want to be able to see the bleeds so you canbring the background up to the bleed edge select Adobe Illustrator you candouble click the color palette and edit the color of the shape I will show youone way to import a high-quality back to logo we take the rectangle frame tooland draw in a square you can move it around into its centered then go up tofile on place as we did before with the photography locate your logo and thenclick OK you can then resize and send to yourlogo on a document so that it looks ideal you can also lower the opacity ofthe logo as we can in illustrator also it might help if you lock the backgroundlayer in place so it doesn't move around take the type tool and then create atext box I feel that InDesign has the most scope of editing typography of anyAdobe software out there and at the very top you'll notice very different waysthat you can edit your typography again I'm just showing you guys how to designa photography book little layout and InDesign I'm not gonna spend hours doingthis myself but when you do finally get to the point where it's finished you'regoing to need to explore your document for prints so go to file and export andthen to Tadoba PDF or print I choose a two-up cover page layoutwhich I feel is best for this kind of design the compression should be fine bydefault and in the marks and bleed section I tend to use most options butyou must use a document bleed settings most often the rest of these settingsare fine by default and any warnings are going to Hi everyone this is Nicki with DesignLike a Pro and in this episode I'm going to show you how to design a program nowthis is basically a multi-page booklet that we're going to design and it's areally popular type of project to be working on an InDesign because it coversso many different industries from dance recitals to church bulletins or programsbasically any type of event or situation where you need to design multiple pageswithin a booklet this is for you now this tutorial is a beginner tutorialthere's a few advanced techniques in here but if you are just starting outwith InDesign this is a perfect tutorial for you because we are gonna go overimporting photos editing and placing text working with character styles andtabs that are really ideal for this type of a program and then also we're goingto save out this program in two different formats which I do have veryspecific tutorials here on design like a pro that I will link for you below butthis is going to go through both options regardless of whether you have a PC or aMac so you should be covered if you're going to be printing professionally orif you're gonna print in-house which let's face it when we're test asdesigners to do recital booklets for example in programs we really don't havea lot of time and we may be making something very simple that we are goingto print in-house so this is going to cover all of those scenarios for you solet's go ahead and dive in I am using the latest version of InDesign but asalways my tutorials here are really friendly to any version that you mayhave available so let's go ahead and fire up and design and get started okayso what we have here is the starting screen that we are going to work withand we're going to create our document size so I'm working with inches you guysthe latest versions of InDesign really make this easy to switch between unitshere so that you can pick what works for you and we are going to create a fiveand a half by eight-and-a-half booklet this is basically half of a letter sizewhich is ideal for many booklets this allows you to print this in-houseyou have a copy machine that's gonna do double-sided printing for you this isgonna allow you to do that on just a regular sheet of paper which is aperfect situation so we're gonna change this to five and a half by eight and ahalf and you can see below here we can see that effect taking so we can seeexactly what the page size is gonna be so there's a few more settings that weare going to leave checked here facing pages because this is a booklet we aregoing to leave facing pages checked if you don't nothing really horrible isgoing to happen but this is just going to flow more like a booklet if we keepthese checked instead of having the pages stacked individually if you knowhow many pages you're going to have you can definitely add that amount here justkeep in mind that in order to have a complete booklet you do have to have theright amount of pages and as I've stated in previous lessons regarding multiplepage booklets an easy standard to go by is something that is divisible by 4because booklets are going to at minimum be four pages to front to back right soas long as you're increasing your page count by four you should be good to goand have a complete booklet meaning that you're not going to have any blank pagesthat you have to deal with so our booklet is just going to be a basic fourpages in this case it's going to be a front and a back you can mark here ifyou want your page to start on a number other than one but in this case we dowant to just start with one and the only other thing that we are gonna add hereis a bleed even if you're printing in-house it's a really good habit tojust automatically apply a bleed here because then you're really thinkingabout items that may go off the page if you're gonna print in house and you'renot dealing with a bleed you don't need this extra feature but like I said I'min the habit of doing this because you just never know and it's a lot easier tohave this from the beginning than to have to go back and add it so these areall of the settings we're going to go ahead and create this and you can seehere that we have our four pages and then it is going to create a completebooklet ie our front and back and then the inside pages if we wanted to addmore we could but like I said you have to add at leastfour pages to make it a complete book so four is the minimum but we could haveeight pages then we need to go up to twelve pages and so on so just keep inmind that if you want to have a complete book you have to go up at least four weare just going to stick to four pages here for the ease of this tutorial solet's go ahead and get started I like to work from the cover down if I have allof the content with me I am very familiar though with having to wait forcontent and not always having everything you need right when you need it so ifthat's the case design for what you have but we're just gonna start with thecover first so I've created a scenario that's very common in the design worldwhere you're given limited information but you just need to work with what youhave so I have three images that I'm going to use here and need to place themstrategically and I have decided to use this because we do have a dance recitalso we're going to use this photo for the cover but we just want to createsomething really neat for the cover you could just drop this photo in here andit's done but I'm just gonna show you a quick little technique to make this alittle bit nicer and this is definitely gonna work very nicely if you're goingto have this professionally printed but it is also friendly to print in-house ifyou need to so I'm dropping this photo in and then I'm going to hold down ctrlor command shift to scale this all the way down so it fills the frame now wordof note here you need to have a high-resolution image meaning that thisis at least 300 out of your camera so that it fills this nicely and it's notpixelated so just make sure that you're not using a web resolution photo thatyou are using a print resolution photo good rule of thumb is anything that's atleast 5 inches by 7 inches is a good place to start you can scale that up anddown pretty nicely without losing any quality for print so now we have thatfilling our page here I'm not going to worry about this going all the way downand you'll see why in a second because I want to place some things on top of hereI want to add a gradient fade to white which is gonnabe really friendly for printing this in-house if we want to but it's justgonna create a neat effect as well I'm gonna move this up just a little bit togive even more white space down here and this is a fun technique so just rightclicking on the photo going to effects and then gradient feather is going tocreate this really cool effect so here is my dialogue box I'm making sure thatpreview is checked so I can see what I'm doing and I want this to start from thebottom and work up now you can see that a couple of things I'm getting someweird lines here this is just an effect of InDesign previewing this for me thisis not going to print like this and you'll see that in the final PDF that itis not going to print like this so I'm seeing this you actually may not seethis it is just an error in the way that it's previewing but we also don't wantthis white to be all the way up here I kind of want to keep it right around thebottom of the ballet shoe and in order to do that we can adjust how thisgradient flows by moving these sliders up here so this kind of cuts it a littlebit shorter the idea is that we don't see a harsh line so I can move the blackup a little bit I can move this a little bit closer to it to get a little morewhite you can even scale this in a little bit to get a little more white sothe idea is just to find a nice compromise without getting too harsh ofa white line and so you can adjust this based on your photo to accomplish thatand when you get something that you like go ahead and hit OK and if you want topreview what you're doing really quick just hit W and I can see now that Idon't have a harsh line there and it's gonna look really nicely when we laysomething on top of it if you want to see this in a high quality just go aheadand change that to high quality it helps a little bit it gets rid of thepixelation of the photo and I can now see it in a in a higher quality and youcan see that those lines are changing as I move around here so those again arenot going to print it's just an error in the way that this is displaying so thenext step is to add some content on top if this is a programtypically it's probably going to be the name of the program or event right solet's go ahead and drop some text in here I'm just going to start typing 2018and it's gonna be a spring recital and it's for a dance school all right nowwe've dropped in some text let's go ahead and style that I want to Centeralign it and I want to do some different fonts here so let's find something herewant something scripty really soft it's a ballet right so we want something alittle bit more soft not too edgy or modern and we're going to bring this upquite a bit and you can see that the air is coming into the 2018 so I'm going toincrease the spacing between that and then bringing dance school down as welland I want to make dance school a nice clean sans-serif and then I'm going tomake it all caps as well bump up the size a little bit and one tip I havewhenever you're making anything all caps it's much easier to read when you addsome decent space between your letters so I would always advise a minimum of 50spacing here between your tracking so I'm up a little bit more because I likeit to be even more space between there but it is a really nice way to go and itmakes it again it makes it a lot easier to read okay so now we have somethinglike this I can go ahead now and move on but I'm gonna take it to the next leveland just add a little bit of color here and a box to separate it from thebackground again you can just leave it just as it is but why not go anotherstep so I'm gonna come over here and grab my rectangle tool and just dry itout and let's go ahead and fill that with a grey colorI'm gonna create a new swatch because we do not have a grey color and I want itto be about 80% on the black so we're going to add it and you can see now thatI have that swatch to use in the future problem is it's covering up myso I need to right click arrange and we're gonna send backward one and thenthat allows me to see my text and then I'm going to hold down shift and clickthe text box so the rectangle and the text box is selected come over here andI just want to make sure that everything is Center aligned with my text box andthe black is a little bit hard to read on that dark grey so I'm going to selectthe text box come over here and hit the T and that's going to change it to thefont color instead of a fill color so we're gonna change it to a differentcolor here and let's go with white and now you can see that that contrast is alot nicer okay and then there's only one other thing we're gonna do and we'regonna add some color to this box by creating a stroke around it so let'scome up here to stroke and create a nice size about five and we want that to be adashed line and then I'm gonna come back over here to swatches select the strokeit'll bring it to the front and I want to add a nice pink color one tip I haveis always to pull colors from the images that you're using it's a great way totie your color palettes together and it gives you some color ideas if you'recompletely stuck on what to do so we are going to create a nice pink color andyou can do this just by dragging around here and finding something that issimilar you can also use the eyedropper tool over here if you would like but Iwant I don't want as light of pink as the ballet shoe I just want somethingthat is close to it all right we'll try something like that and now you can seethat we have a nice pink stroke and it looks like it goes with this photo sothat just dressed things up a little bit for you and now it's time to move on toour interior pages so I'm going to zoom out here so you can see we now have aleft and a right page so typically what is good on these pages is it's going tobe the program itself we're confine this to two pages just to showyou some examples of formatting text for a program but you can continue thisprogram as many pages as you need to so my trick is always to work from the backforward meaning I place images first which is then going to allow me tounderstand where I can place text so it's time for our next ballet image andwe've got this cute little image of these girls so we're going to place thisnow here's a tip for you again I'm gonna hold down command or control shift tosize this if you are going to print this in-house I would strongly advise thatyou keep all of your content within these pink margins just to ensure thatwhen you print you don't have an issue with things being really close to theedge and then you'll have a nice border around everything that's uniform acrossall of your pages so the same would be true for this cover image you may wantto bring this guy in to this margin line and that way if you were to print thisin house you're not gonna have issues you're gonna have this white border herebut again it's gonna look nice and even for all situations if you're going tohave this professionally printed then definitely maximize bleeds because itlooks nicer to go all the way across but that's one very quick way to accommodatewhether you're going to be printing in-house or not so in this case we arejust going to take it all the way to the edge because we are not going to beprinting this in-house so I'm going to position this though so that these girlsare a little bit up so that I have some space down here basically moving that upso we're just kind of chopping them off a little bit but I will say when itcomes to dance photos you always want to show the feet if anything so it is a petpeeve of mine when people cut the feet off of dancers okay so this gives us alittle bit of space down here and down here we are going to put essentially thenames of our dancers that's that's a good place for this before we do thatthough I'm going to dress this up a little bit by grabbing the linetool I'm just gonna hold down shift and drag this to the end come over here backto stroke and add a nice thick pink line to this something like that and the pinkis already selected from what we were previously doing on the cover if it'snot you can go ahead and select that and that just gives us a little dressy linethat kind of breaks up our photo from our text so now we're going to add inthe names of our students and I just have some filler text here you wouldobviously use content that you have but I am playing this off like we have aname of a character that maybe our dancer is performing and then theiractual name so in this case I'm just writing this out and then I am going toadd a tab one tab here and then we're going to style the tab so if you'venever played with tabs this is a great opportunity to learn how to do them andin this case it's a programs or great use of tabs and tabs basically in theway that we're using this is to have those dots that go all the way acrossseparating two items of content and then you would continue that down the list soit's really great for names in this situation so we're going to come up hereto type tabs and a little box pops up that allows us to style this so wealready have our tab placed so we can see this in action as we're doing itwhich is really helpful we want a right justified tab meaning that it's going toend on the right side of our text box and then we want a period here or a dotas the leader so this is what's going to be duplicated across the entire spacefor our tabs and if I drag out here you can see now that I am placing where Iwant this tab to end and right now I want something like that and if theperiod disappeared just go ahead and put it back and hit enter and now you cansee we have our tab filled in with dots and this will basically continue for aslong as you want it to once you've styled it in my case I am just going toduplicate this down so that we essentially havewhat we want here but you would be typing in the names as you have them butagain this is a really great way to create a justified and even namingsequence for our program so when you're done there I'm going to zoom in herebecause now we're going to do a few things we're gonna style this a littlecleaner notice that I have this a little bit outside of the margin so I'm justgoing to Center that up a little bit better that way we're not too close tothe edge so from here I want to style this first and last so that there's avisual difference between the two things so we've got our character name and ourfirst and last name I want the first and last name to be stat a little differentfirst of all I would like it to be all caps and I am going to change the entirefont here too so let's say Adobe Castellon Pro all right now I'm stylingthis right here because I want to show you a really quick way to stylesomething and then use it again and again and again for similar items so inthis case we want this to be all caps and we're gonna add about eightytracking and we want this to be bold so you can see that that helps that area ofcontent stand out from the other area of content but I want to apply it toeverything below and in this case we're going to highlight this and come overhere to character Styles if you do not see character Styles it's available inStyles character Styles under the window tab and so from here we click the littlehamburger drop-down and create a new character style and the dialog box comesup and let's give it a name let's call it dancer name for reference and you cansee that the styles are being captured here the way that we styled it and if wego ahead and hit OK we now have a character style saved based on this textright here so now if I select all the other ones I can quickly style all of myother names to match making sure that I'm just selecting thetexts that I would like to be styled in this manner okay so you now quickly Ihave been able to style all of this different than the character name overhere and if you find that you want to make further changes a beautiful thingabout character Styles is that if you double click and come back into ourbasic character format we can do some other things here we can say that maybewe want it to be italicized and you can see that any case that's been appliedthe character style and our first one wasn't so we need to go back and fixthat but anytime that we've used that character style it's going toautomatically change for us so it changes all cases of that characterstyle which is a really awesome thing and saves so much time so let's go backand make sure that our example our first example is also labeled dancer name thatway it's good to go the only other thing I'm gonna do here is just add a littlebit more spacing to fill it out you would accommodate this based on how manynames you have here but that just fills out our naming a little bit better sonow we've got something like this okay so in that way you learned how to how touse tabs and then how to maximize using character styles to save a lot of timeand effort when styling a lot of the same text on this next page in programland it's very useful to use this page as your actual program right so in thiscase I have again some examples to save us some timeso I'm going to just copy that over here in the case that I just copied this overa lot of times you may be getting information from another resource whichit may be in a Word document so you can just copy that text over here and ctrlor command C and then ctrl or command V will paste it as a text box so if you'regetting it from an email whatever you may be getting this text from if you'renot typing out yourself that is how you bring it over again I'm gonna Centeralign this and now this is ready to styleand we're going to use different sizes and different fonts to get this stylethat we want this is a really good tip because a lot of times you just get textlike this it's fine but there's no visual hierarchy here so in this case wewould like to have some visual hierarchy so doing so via different fonts and alsodifferent sizes is the way to do that now keep in mind when I say differentfonts I do not mean going crazy with your fonts I still like to keep my fontchoices to three or less but it's how you use them that makes it stand out sofor example the title act 1 let's give that a nice script font and we're gonnamake this a lot larger so that we can read it ok so that softens it up it goeswith our ballet dance theme that we already have going on for the rest ofour text I'm going to keep in line with the same font that we used over here forour names so that was Adobe Castle on pro I'm gonna set that and then tofurther enhance this I'm just going to italicize the song name so again you cancreate a character style out of this if you would like to to quickly change thesong name going forward so that it's italicized so I have that and so let'sgo over here and just quickly create a song named character style and do thesame thing for our axe because we're going to have more than one come throughhere and then this is going to be our act title basically and ok so now wehave our act styled and essentially what this is is the dancers over here wouldbe listed under the song name when you actually had content so we are going tomove all of this up slightly just to maximize our space and we have two moreacts that we need to fit in here I am just duplicating what I already have inthe interest of time you would then continue on with your actual content sothis is going to allow us to our character styles that we justcreated to quickly style our content okayand this needs to be act 2 alright and then I want to go ahead andmake these dots pink just to get a little bit of color in here and in thiscase we've got say 2 X you can continue on with your ax as long as you need tobut in this case we're gonna stop here just in the interest of time so if youhad more keep going with this but now we just have 2 X it's a short recital andwe're ready to design the back page so the back page is completely up to youthere's so many options for designing the back of a program I tend to use theback of the program as a contact mechanism or an ad so in this case we'rejust going to do a very quick add learning parents to next year'sregistration of classes and a website to sign up so I have a photo that we aregoing to use it's this adorable horizontal photo I actually want this tobe a vertical photo though so I am going to extend the frame and right-click onthis go to fitting Phil frame proportionately gives us a verticalphoto now since we had enough room and I'm just gonna move her in here and I'messentially holding this over the circle so that I get the hand icon and you cansee that I'm dragging the photo within the frame so I can align this exactlyhow I want to and then a quick W to preview that shows us that she's nowwithin that and we basically got a vertical photo out of a horizontal photoand we have space now above her head for some text content so we are just goingto use a similar format and do not create the recreate the wheel guys justcopy what you already have in this case we are going to copy this text and weare going to paste it over here and drop it over between our marginlines here we're gonna change this to 2019 all right 2019 and this is just gonnasay class registration and then I'm going to delete dance school for rightnow because we're gonna do something different all right and we can leavethis white if we want to it's very easy to read but I want to make it that nicepink color that we've been using just to tie into her dress her little tutu alittle bit butter right and the only other thing I'm going to add in here isa website I want to style this differently so I'm using a differenttext box here and it's just gonna be the website comm and we're going to centerthat up we are going to make this white just so that it contrasts nicely withthe pink we're gonna bring up the size not that much or can bring up the sizeof that to about 20 and then let's bring in a nice bold sans-serif font I alwayslike to capitalize the website it is just something that I do to make itstand out a little more okay and you can leave it like this but I'm gonna goanother step forward and kind of tie in the rectangle that we did at thebeginning of our cover and I want that to be a pink one and we just kind ofwant a stroked rectangle here I'm just eyeballing the placement but that justsort of ties it in nicely and gives it a nice little look okay so there you haveit now we have our complete four-page program ready to go so now what do we dowell we need to save this we need to save all of our hard work so let's saveas I already have one here so I'm just gonna save this as number two this issaving the InDesign document by the way and here we gonow we are going to save this file out for our printer this is if we are goingto professionally print this document and send it off to our printer so inthis case all we need to do is go to I'll export and save our document as aprint PDF and go ahead and save and then we get some options hereI have presets that I already have available in here that I am usingfrequently so I save those out and these in this case we want to have our bleedchecked because we are sending this to print output no color conversion if youneed to export out your PDF and change everything to CMYKthen you would convert to destination preserve numbers and then you would pickwhatever you need to pick for your country and your printing situation inmy case it would be a working CMYK web coded because I do print a lot most ofmy programs I will print uncoated paper advanced I have high-res outlines thisis a PDF preset that I use and I do have a tutorial on setting that up and theneverything else is default so we are hitting OK and then it's going to saveout our PDF and you can see here that this is what that looks like printed andagain you don't see the lines in the actual PDF and you can see thateverything looks okay we have the bleeds checked for printing so we're gonna getsome crossover from our other document and this is ready to send to print sothe only other situation is if you were printing in-house you don't want thepages to print to PDF then you can use that feature as well soyou would pick your preset like you normally do if you need to and thesesettings are fine this is a 2 up settle stitch that's what we're going to bedoing because we're essentially printing this in-house and folding it in half ourpreview here shows our four pages as they should if this is wrong or you'vegot a little error here usually the save it wherever you need to and now it's goingto create a postscript file for me that I can then create a PDF off of and if wecome over here you can see this postscript file right here and I can goahead and open this in distiller now I'm showing you this option because it isthe version that most of you are going to run into is needing to deal with thisPostScript and it's the one that has the most issues that can come up so ifyou're printing to a PDF just like you did the PostScript file you would justhave a PDF and you're done ready to send that to the printer but in thePostScript opportunity here this is the dialog box that comes up and we need tomake some choices again I have some presets in here so I want to make surethat I'm using those presets the PostScript file doesn't have any ofthose settings applied to it like you would if you were saving a PDF so weneed to go ahead set this and then the other thing thatyou need to double-check is the paper size this again is where a lot of peoplewill have issues so I'm gonna go ahead and run the PostScript file through hereand we'll see what we get but if you do have issues with alignment it usuallylies in your page size not matching up with the document and in this case I cantell you it's not because it's coming up as a portrait with the width it actuallyneeds to be the other way around because our double pages we're thinkingdouble pages now we designed a five and a half by eight-and-a-half booklet butthe pages are side by side so it's actually 11 by eight and a half right sowe just need to make sure that that page size reflects what we're actuallycreating so that when we print it out we print out our eight and half by elevenand fold that in half then we end up with our five and a half by eight and ahalf so you just have to be aware of that when you're doing this and if itdoesn't look right it's usually the paper size that is the issue so I'mgonna go ahead and drop that in there and then we're gonna go ahead and savethis out as a PDF and you can see that it's running through and it created aPDF now the moment of truth is to open this guy up and see what we get okay andhere we have our PDF and you can see that our pages are side by side exactlyhow we wanted side by side right so this is our front in our back and this is ourinside pages so from here I can go ahead and print this on any printer that Ihave access to that is going to allow me to print double-sided so I don'tactually have that in this case but you can now print this double-sided knowthat because you don't have these images in that you may have some issues soagain like I said earlier in the tutorial make sure that you've got whitespace around here to look a lot better but the technique is the same and youcan see the difference between saving this out for a professional printerwhere all of your pages are stacked and they can now take this and put thistogether versus the booklet version which allows you to print this in-housedouble-sided you can send this to your printer by the wayit's just that they typically prefer it like this in all my years of printingprinters prefer it this way where this is very handy if you're printing thisin-house because you don't have to worry about the pages being side by side sothat is two ways that you can save out your final document running it throughthe distiller and again if you have any issues with the way that it looks it ismost of the time related to your PDF settings and it is the page size as theissue as I noted if this was reversed by default we would have had an issuebecause it would have printed out our booklet in portrait mode instead oflandscape mode and we would have had an issue so that was fixing it to match thepage size originally thank you guys The standard size is H : 2 and W : 3.

5 Inch Number 1 : Simple Shapes When you will design a business card , don't make it complex The shapes you are using in card should be very simple.

There are 4 basic Characteristics in fonts Script , Slab Serif , Serif and Sans serif You have to download fonts sometimes to match better Serif always goes with Corporate Sans Serif goes with Elegant design Scripts is going with handwritten look Slab serif goes with modern Design There are some suggestion of fonts can be used in Business card Common fonts works better in business card because the details should be clean in card.

More than 2 fonts in a card will not be recommended.

Some other rules can be followed There should be enough white space in our card.

The logo and other shapes should have some unity Scattering elements could make your card worst The position of you shapes and texts are important The text should be perfectly aligned and Perfactly sized So i think you guys learn something new today.

We have to understand the topic first then we have to choose color and fonts Gradient shouldn't be used in Card The blend will not give you good output in print Lets compare some good and bad business card.

So let's go ahead and go in there, and I'll show you how I built mine.

So this is a pretty straight forward flow that I built out for SocialMedia Marketing World 2018, and then I'm just kindof updating it for today.

But it actually is and I'mgonna show you a hack right now.

Let me jump on my phoneand show you how it's done.

Okay, so your first stepis to open Facebook.

Go up into Messenger andall you have to do is open the camera and, oohthere's my shoes (laughs), and hold down, and as you cansee here, in this circle here, you are able to scan a code.

So there you go, that's it.

Really easy right? Okay, now you know that thisis totally the way to go and you don't have to carrybusiness cards around any longer and you can connect withtons of people very easily.

Hey today's topic is going to be reallygreat and I want to just say thank you for joining me.

So what today's topic is , is it's going tobe about business cards and marketing materials for artists.

When you talkabout business cards there are different different approaches.

One approach isthis- the approach that I use is I have my cards, and I'll just go ahead andhold one of them up, I have my cards professionally done.

I'veused Vistaprint and I've used Zazzle and another approach -and I have done thistoo - I'll be going through that with you today is oh end thank you forjoining by the way the other the other thing I'll be showing you is how to makeyour own cards so I'll talk with you about what to put on your card,why you would want to have a business card how to design it what to includewhat to leave off.

Sometimes what to leave off of the business card can bejust as important as what you put on and then the other thing to talk about wouldbe: little accessories- what kind of things that you can dowith your cards, who you might give your cards to, and why it's super important tohave those business cards.

So let's get started.

So I want to talk alittle bit first about about the cards themselves so a business card really isjust your calling card so what I do on mine, I have on the back here, I'vegot um- oh hey - art mystique yeah you can design your own also youcan design your own card and you can put your original art on it, you can putyourself on it, a picture of yourself is always a really great thing to include.

I'm gonna just start out by just I'm gonna actually you know what I'm going to do-let me stick this Kleenex box on here and see there that way that'll hold itreally well oh we don't have to actually hang on to it and it will focus a littlebetter and art mystique how are you doing by the way that's great okay allright and so um so how I do my business cards is on the back of the card, I willhave a close-up because my work is really super heavily textured.

I'll put aclose-up of one of my paintings on the back and then on the front of the cardso you can when you have your cards made you can either do them as one-sided ortwo-sided I try and take advantage of that back side and figure you knowpeople usually look on the back of it too.

So you're great and you justfinished a painting okay okay excellent excellent so and I'm are you gonna beposting that painting out on YouTube I will be looking to see what yougot when you when you post it.

So on these business cards what it's importantto do is the most important thing on that is your name.

You want to definitelyput your name.

And if you are using for example, an alias or some other thinglike that, a nickname something else like, that tryand include that.

So maybe you're gonna be like "I'm the mysterious painter" andthen it's also nice to have your actual name because that way hey Brenda you gotit posted it's a watercolor cat in polygons oh well that sounds neat that sounds super neat and hey Brenda good to see you by the way.

So on your card if youhave for example a nickname or you're going by a nickname when you're painting, it is a good idea to put your actual name- your full name: first name, and lastname, so that way when people are talking with you they know how to get ahold ofyou and or what to call you when they speak with you.

And the other niceadvantage of doing that is in case you ever change your nickname thenyour regular name should always be hopefully staying the same.

What I dowith my cards, is I also have a little what I'll calla little teaser or a little description and mine says contemporarycolorist oil paintings I include my address I have my studio phone numberand my cell phone number and then I have my email and my website.

Now when you'redoing your business cards, you can put many different things on your card Ihave a photo of me with my work, that's always a good thing.

When you give yourcard to someone it's very important that you somehow identify what it is thatyou're doing or what it is because people will collect business cards andthen they're gonna - and I'll just grab a piece of paper I'm gonna writethis on here so the things you want to include when people collect businesscards if they don't have some way of knowing who it is or what it is thatthat is on the card then they might be like oh I have this card and I don'tremember who this was so a super important thing is that you have yourname which is first and last you can put a middle initial if you like but um butit's it's just super important that you have and thank you all so thank you foreveryone who's joining and any I appreciate any likes that you givethat's always a nice thing - so first and last name are important and thenwhat you need to have so that just is just the bare minimum you can add moreon top of this but you need to have some type of an email address and- hey, ArtJourney With Swapna! okay so youremail address so you have to have your name and that could be a nickname alsoif you have a nickname so your email would be so they can contact you andthen optional would be anything like your address your mailing address or howto get ahold of you that way your cell phone number any kind of info about what you doso info about your arch so let's say for example I was a fiber artist or a glassartist something like that then what I could do is I could say you know hereI've got contemporary colorist oil paintings online I could say somethinglike oh I'm oh it's good to hear that you're doingwell yes and it's I guess um it's probably late over by you right now thetime is probably late in the day over here by me it's only let's sayalmost one o'clock so information about your art that is optional to puton there now going back to website, let's say for example you don't have a website.

What could you put there instead? Well you could put your your personal websiteif you have that definitely put that there but you could also put yourFacebook your YouTube your Instagram snapchat anything like that you caninclude those of course on your card so people know how to find you where tofind you that kind of thing but oftentimes why you might be giving abusiness card is because either someone has purchased your art or you have metsomeone let's say that you met someone you know anywhere it's just about teno'clock oh yeah that is late that is late so so your your business card whenyou let's say that you go to a party and you meet someone and they find out thatyou're an artist what's always a nice thing to do is and I'll show you whatI've got here.

okay and Chrissy thank you and Iappreciate that you're gonna watch the replay you're so awesome and thanks youguys and thank you for all the likes to by the way so this was a card that Idesigned and this is a painting a large triptych that I had let's see here whatsize is this 48 by 72 so a very large painting this painting ended up beingpurchased by hospital and then I had to add additional panels they wanted thepainting to be 10-foot wide so I was like the largest painting I'd ever donebut this Genesis Hospital in Rock Island Illinois they ended up purchasing the painting butanyway these cards what you can do is you can then get an envelope like thisand I'll just order the envelopes that they when you when you get thesemarketing materials like these oversize postcards then you can just includethose and then you just pop one of your business cards in there because whathappens is if if somebody sometimes people will you know they might not holdon to the card but they may hold on to your business card and what is on hereyou see I have my email address but all the rest of the information is reallyabout the venue and it's about the painting that's shown and so having theactual card then they can see oh here's how I can get ahold of the person here'stheir address and their website and then they're most importantly their email soif they want to get ahold of you and they've got that information and I'llshow you a couple other cards that I did so here's one I did for Canyon RoadContemporary Art who represents me in Santa Fe and this was a two-personexhibit that was done in 2017 with a fellow artist of my fellow artist Kari Rives.

she does a sculpture and then here's another one this was a my soloexhibit at Canyon Road last year and that was so I've got the information soyou can include the information about the venue the name of the gallery thename of the exhibit and then if it's a solo or a group show and then if there'san opening reception in this case there was an opening reception and so and thenhow long and I did a painting demonstration and then I was thereon-site and then I have information about the painting on the other side andthen information here about the gallery but you'll see that there's really noinformation on here about about me or how to get ahold of me so if I send thisfor example to a gallery the only way that they're going to know how to get ahold of me if they're interested in representing me is through thisinformation that I have on the business card so that is super important that youthat should get that and I'll show you one last card that I did this wasAdelman Fine Art,the gallery that represents my originals in San Diego andso this was a group exhibit and it was just a thing showing a little bit aboutyou know the dates that are gonna be held and then the gallery informationbut but again you can see I don't have really my website or anything elsethat's listed here this is just really all about the venueso that's why the card it's all about the card and then these cards againthese cards are really once you have them made and a little template made upthey're they're really easy to reorder or you can just make a new one each timeand then this was through I guess this was a Zazzle this one is Zazzle I thinkthis one is Vistaprint I had some return address labels made up.

Any time youhave an opportunity to put your art on the you know on somewhere and and you'reessentially building your brand but I'm using the same font everywhere and thenI've got as what I'm using also in the cards and then on the I'm including someof my art so here's that and then another one so that way when I'm puttingfor example on the envelope so I can brand it in different ways I can put andI'll just put one of them on now I can put in an address return address herelike so and then and then inside is going to be my card and then a show cardso this is the what I'll put in when I'm doing some materials if there's agallery that I have my eye on that I'm hoping might represent me then what I'lldo is over the years or a matter of months or years depending on how longI'm following them and I'll be sending them things like if I have a new showcoming up or thing like that so so back on the cardsnow that we've talked about how to do the cards so okay okay pencil I'm gladthis has been helpful.

Pencil I am gladto hear that because you know you need to get your little pencil logo going ona card and you can I'm going to show you how you can use your own art so let's solet's get that out here let me show you what you can do if you want it to even aperson does not even have to go and go on to a computer and do this youliterally can do this also just individually and one by one and then thethought might be like okay if I've got a printed one why might I also want tohave one that's made by hand well you can see that the one that's made by handis gonna be so much more personal and it's gonna be unique and individual andit's sometimes nice if you have let's say that a collector bought your work oryou had somebody do something super nice what's really nice and a wonderfulgesture is that you can make your own business cards now I just just as anexample say this was a note from the last thing I did but I just this waswatercolor paper and I literally just cut it out the size of a standardbusiness card and and then that's just a quick note we should talk about what isa standard business card size so let me get my notes back up or the paper backout here and I'll just jot this down here so what you want to do is when youmake your cards make them for whatever country you're going to mostly be doingyour business in you want to make your cards go in that size so in Canada andin the US so here this there's a standard so US and Canadais going to be 3.

5 inches x 2 inches and that is also known as 89 millimeters x51 millimeters so that is a standard size and the reason I recommend that youuse the standard size is first of all they're less expensive to to buy or tomake but when people get it they'll recognize it like oh that's a businesscard you can also get like for example in the US you can get squares you canget kind of long skinny ones that type of thing but I recommend that you staywith your standard size just because it's it's more recognizable then.

In Australia the standard there is see I've got mynotes here 90 millimeters x a 55 in Japan and you can see that each countrykind of has their own standard of what they're using for their sizes Japan thatthe size is 91 millimeters by 55 millimeters pretty close to Australia inRussia and Israel here Swapna with I guess you know India and Mexico the sizethey're the standard there is 90 millimeters by 50 millimeters and thenin the in Europe and in the UK so pencil this is your size here so UK and WesternEurope the standard business card size is goingto be 85 millimeters by 55 millimeters and again if you go to a local printeror if you have them done you know online then they'll take care of those sizesbut just kind of interesting to see you know what sizes are out there so back tothese little cards so all I did here is I just cut out so I had my business cardand then I just cut out and let me grab my little paper here I just drew with apencil drew along and drew the the size just onthis is just some Arches 140 pound paper.

Okay so and if you don't have a businesscard then you can actually go ahead and measure it out so this is three and ahalf by two inches each of those are three and a half by two so here's astandard business card size there's three and a half by two inches otherwiseknown as 89 by 51 millimeters but you can use you know you can use alltemplates and all that kind of thing and get really fancy with your with yoursizes now there's another way the way that I did it yeah you've got 85 by 30yeah okay so pencil you're gonna need 85 millimeters by 55millimeters you've got 35 right 55 is what you went did I write 35 on yourpaper okay no sorry 85 yeah 85 by 55 is what you'll need pencil okay so so whatyou want to do here is you can do like what I did just for this little demo isI had just some watercolor paper you can see where I cut it right there where isthis guy go like that so I had just a little scrap of watercolor paperand then I cut the shapes out and then did that obviously you're not gonna doit on a scrap because you're gonna give it to someone and you want it to be niceokay good pencil thank you okay and and so what you do is you can just cut thatshape out I just cut it out I drew with a pencil a pencil same pencil I drewjust with a pencil around on the back of the card and I just cut it out with ascissor you can also do if you have a if you've got a what do you call it paperpuncher let me get that okay I got him you can also take these and make alittle if you want to make like a little these are just handy if you want to makelike a gift card include something on a gift just a little punch and then youcan put a ribbon or a string through there and you can write whatever youlike but it's kind of a neat little thing to include something that you madebecause we as artists, we have something that other people don't have, and that'ssome creativity to make something that's beautiful or artful.

People doappreciate getting something from us that is going to be done by hands sothese handmade cards what I did here is I just taped this down and I used thehey Madonna and okay so aren't mistake you've made bookmarks for business cardsthat way they went over quite well and it's just cut in a different size andexactly exactly that's exactly how you do it and so I'm gonna just take thetape off so what I did was this is a masonite board and then I used mywatercolors so let me just grab my watercolors out here and I taped off theedge now you have to decide when you do these if you like the look of a whiteedge I kind of like the look or if you like the look of the thing where thedesign goes all the way to the end if you want it all the way to the end youcan still tape it off and then cut it down to size later but that's just gonnabe a personal decision I personally kind of likelittle edge going here so if I'm doing this now how I would do if I was doing abusiness card or I could even do it as a thank you so let's say that I hadsomebody let's say that I'm gonna write a thank you to Madonna so I would justwrite Thank You Madonna let's say Madonna bought a painting or Madonna didsomething special and when I give them it down a a little extra somethinglittle hello and a little something on something handmade and then I would justgo ahead and sign it but it can be just like a little just as simple as a littlethank-you card you can also you know they can be a little place cards thattype of thing but but when you do it like this let's say I was gonna make mybusiness card like this so I'm gonna make sure to write very legibly and thenI'm gonna say I need to say what it is that I'm doing so I need to say forexample that I am an artist I could say I'm an artist or I'm gonna be morespecific and I'm gonna say contemporary colorist as my paintings all right and so then yeah I'm Madonnayes okay so so let's say then I've got data now what I can't wait I need to puton as I need to put that bare minimum of what we need for a the bare minimum isalways your first and last name and a nickname if you have that your email andyour website now I added on here also a little bit of optional information aboutmy arch that's what this would be the contemporary colorist paintings but Ican put on here then let's say I want to put my email so let me put that on there and then I want to also put my website and again if you do not have a websiteeverybody likely will have an email if you don't have a website yet then whatyou can do is you can put your your Instagram handle your Facebook accountyou could put your YouTube anything like that and yeah so pencil, I foundit by doing that following up with people they seem to really respond tothat another thing that I'll do is and I also have greeting cards I don't Ididn't bring an example of a greeting card here but I am greeting cards madeup with my art and on the inside it's just blank inside and then a lot oftimes I'll write a handwritten note if a collector buys something when thegallery sells paintings for me I typically do not know who buys themthey're just they just tell me well they're sold or whatever I don't everknow so so sometimes I'll know a collector and then I might you know sendthem a note but I'm always careful to not infringe on the gallery because Iit's important that relationship that they have with the client is importantand I don't want to circumvent that but these are for things like let's say Ihave a commission or something like that pencil you're talking about you know ifyou wanted to maybe even get you know draw your or paint your pencil in onyour logo you can do a thing like I did here where I'm just including only youknow just a picture and then something on the back but let me show you what wecan do also like let's say for example you have made a painting and it does adda personal touch and that is I think that what people really respond tobecause once someone has bought your work before they they've done studiesand they say that if someone has bought your paintings before they are 40% more likely and I don't I can't quote the name of the of the study but Ihad heard this I don't know maybe five years ago that people are 40% morelikely to buy your work again and you want to really think about thatonce someone has bought either two or three of your works then you considerthem your collector and so let me show you what you can do this is just alittle a little kind of a little sunflower a very abstract littlesunflower edge I made on here but let's say for example you didn't want tochange you know put anything on the front and you wanted it because maybeit's dark colors and maybe the ink wouldn't show up well or you just didn'twant to disturb it and you wanted to give your collectors may be just a aone-of-a-kind little tiny little painting so what would be very importantis that you sign it so I'm gonna put my regular signature right there just veryvery tiny I'll just put that right up there get your signal right signatureright up there and then on the back you can either write you know thank youor you can write you know your business card information that kind of thing soyou can get all of that detail on a white thing that's easy to read on theback so but maybe you're gonna say you know hey thank you so much you know forthe Commission painting that you that you sent me and this is a little card asa thank-you a little mini painting as a thank-you and I'll just say that theselittle mini paintings you can just kind of do these really rapidly and there area lot of fun if you like to do thumbnail sketches we talked in a previouslivestream about how to do a thumbnail sketch and what's kind of fun aboutthese just these little guys is you can do little compositions and they're justfun and hey if they don't come out well just you know don't use them or throwthem away or you know whatever so alright let me grab my watercolor andI'll just show you how easy it is to just make these little abstract cardsI've got some water let me get these all these other materials out of the way andhere's this is just just a bucket of of water I've got another littlecontainer here and you could use a watercolor pencil,you could use acrylicpaint,you could draw, this could be done in graphite.

How ever you like to do,how ever you wanted to decorate these little thank-you cards or they could bebusiness cards but it's really a marketing material if you think about itit's it's just as simple as that every time that you are doing this you want tokeep it within your brand or keep it doing something that looks like yourwork so for example pencil you'd want to be sure to you know somehow include ifyou can if you're doing a thing something and include your pencil logoor if you're not using your pencil logo then of course don't do that all rightso let me just grab a little green and you can just put and and you know justdo literally abstractly whatever you likelet's activate that I kind of like when watercolor is kind of smushy andinteracts with other things so just something you know boop boop boop boopboop and then that cards done we could do another card I'll just do anothersunflower over here let's get some petals going let's get a dark center.

Let's make this let's make this oneI want to just run the water out here to wet this section but they can beliterally just kind of you know abstract expressionist kind of feelings or youcan spend a lot of a lot of detail and you can really go in and you know makeit super super detailed super you know however you want it to look let's get alittle darker color there and then how about some blue out here I like orangeand blue together and just nice and easy just a little flowy thing I'm gonna cover all my white spots sothank you so when we can just kind of make these you know whatever we knowI'll have a request what do you guys have a request for me to make I'll dolast one we'll do as a request I'll just do a little heart over here but bethinking what you want me to do for that onedon't pick anything that's too hard for me though we don't want to be stressfulon a Sunday, right? All right so let's get but put your idea what you want me to doin this on this last one and I'll paint whatever you guys come up with goodlittle orange there so you've made art trading cards the business card wellthank you and you know Madonna you can see how fast these things are gonna makeI mean they're just like SuperDuper fast you know boom boom boom and you're done all right now let's get a little bit ofa blue now what I'll do then is I'll let these um I'll let these dry and we'lljust do a really watery loose background on this one let these dry and then comeback and when they're dry then um it can release the paper or release the tapearound there okaypaint you I'll paint a pencil okay all right I'll try it I'll try it it's achallenge accepted let's go back in with a little bit onthis red one let's go back just deepen that color a little bit okay pencil I'm gonna try a pencil allright so now you can't tease me pencil if I don't make him well.

I knowhe's got abs remember that and then there's a point here so he needs to comedown into some kind of a point and then there's a tip of the pencil andthen he has a very cute face so he's got a big whoops I need a smaller brush herehe's got like don't worry and I'm running out of papersee I didn't plan out my pencil properly but if I remember he also has like somekind of a pink color I think as I thought there was like his eraser maybethere's like something pinkish up at the top something is there something likewe've got a little something up here for his eraser alright and then what we cando is let's say that this was pencils card then you can just have somethinglike pencil connoisseur let's see how we spell connoisseur see oh and if I spellit wrong I can't do that c o n n o i s s e u r and then you could haveyou know email yes blah blah blah blah blah blah blah and then you know youcould do something like that and you could literally just kind ofmake it whatever you want so so that's how those are done and then when theseare dry then I'll just peel the paper off and then and then it's good to goso alright and then here's again this the example of this so I hope that thishas been um found and helpful and I hope that you guys will go out and make somethese are little gratitude cards I hope that you'll make some gratitude card-will call it a gratitude card- make some gratitude cards and have fun that'sreally just these little quick little things they're just a fun littleexpression and they're a neat way to show your collectors that you careyou're gonna call it the Dena connoisseurI like that pencil I'm gonna put that on here Dena Connoisseur there we goall right you guys well this has been wonderful chatting with you and I hopethat you guys have a great rest of your day and so and go out and get thosecards you know it's it's just a fun thing to do and and and I think yourbusiness will grow with it so thank you so much you guys alright and take careand until next time this is Dena and hugs and kisses too.
