How’s it going everyone, Tom here, and fortoday’s video, i wanted to take a look at some of the commercial build surfaces thatyou can use as a top layer for your bed to print onto.

I mean, we all know that you canprint onto glue stick, regular hair spray and blue tape but what if you wanted somethingthat’s a bit more professional and repeatable? Well, let’s have a look, shall we?[intro] So in total, i tested six different surfaces,and they fall into two categories: Liquids and solids.

On the liquid side, we’ve threesolutions that you you can either brush or spray onto your bare bed surface, say, aluminumor glass.

In no particular order, those are 3DEez, a north American product that comesas a thick liquid that gets wiped onto your bed with a sponge and then dries to a semi-permanentlayer; the Spanish 3DLac, basically a branded type of hairspray; and the yet unreleasedAustrian Printafix Basic, another clear spray-on coat, but that one didn’t do particularlywell, so the manufacturer is actually delaying the launch to get it right.

And for the “solids”, i’ve also got three different types: Starting with the Coropadfrom Poland, a thin adhesive sheet that you could compare to something like Buildtak;Then we’ve got the american ZebraPlate and the new ZebraSkin, with the ZebraPlate actuallybeing a stand-alone build surface that you could also clip onto an existing bed and theZebraSkin with the same material, but as a thinner sheet with some 3M adhesive on theback; and, lastly, the PEI coated aluminum plate i got from Sven Krause from Germany,again being a completely stand-alone bed and he even included a silicone heater with it.

You can also get PEI as a sheet or film and stick that to your bed, which is what theLulzbot Mini uses.

So how does one test a bed surface somewhatobjectively? Well, my methods obviously included lots and lots of test prints.

Using the thesame set of gcodes, i ran six different tests on each surface.

I used what i think are thethree most common plastics these days: ABS, PLA and PET.

The ABS i used was some no-name,but decent natural ABS, printed at 245°, then white PLA from BQ, which is also nota super expensive filament, but prints marvelously at 215°, and lastly, as the PET of choice,i used genuine Taulman T-glase at 245°, which isn’t the most challenging type of PET youcould print, but makes for a good sample of what you would typically use.

And for each material, i ran a print with and without a heated bed, which, i mean, forPLA and PET is still something you might might want to do, especially on low-end printersthat are lacking a heated bed, but honestly, ABS onto a cold bed was just something i wantedto know if it was even possible in the slightest bit.

The temperatures for the heated bed,when it was used, were 60° for PLA, 70° for Tglase and 105° for ABS.

The ambienttemperature around and inside the printer was at a controlled 18° for each test, andthat was also the temperature i had the heated bed cool down to when i ran a “cold” test.

And the printer i used was my usual Mendel90 experimentation platform, which is a totalmess, but works extremely consistently, probably due to the fact that i know every nook andcranny of that printer by heart.

It has a Wade’s style extruder, an E3D v5/v6 bastardhotend, an inductive sensor to get that nozzle distance really consistent and it has no partcooling fan.

So on to the print parameters, and we shouldhave all the constraints covered that make this test run scientifically reproducible:And the test part, again, was chosen to be challenging, it’s a 100mm long, 8mm wideand 15mm tall stick that has a pointy tip on one end - this is probably # the worstshape you could torture any print surface with.

Because it’s so long, it will createenormous forces as the plastic cools, and the pointy tip tends to pop up first sincethe actual surface area it has to stick to the bed is smaller, but it’s still gettingthe full amount of force from the center of the part.

I printed this with a 0.

25mm layerheight, with the first layer bumped to.

4mm and a 1.

5mm width to reduce the effects anysort of misalignment would have.

2 shells, 4 solid layers on top and bottom, 20% hexinfill, printed at 60mm/s.

No brim.

So you do still have some wiggle room if you haveto make a material work with a particular surface.

Okay, so how did the surfaces fare? The six different test prints for each surface turnedout to be like a linear progression - every surface handled PLA and PET onto a heatedbed beautifully, but some struggled with ABS onto a heated bed, some did horribly witha cold bed, but as soon as for example PET failed, ABS definitely wouldn’t work.

So let’s make our way through the individual surfaces.

Again, starting with 3DEez, whichpretty easy to apply with that sponge, but if you forget to wash it afterwards, you’llbe left with a useless brick and will have to find a fresh sponge.

3DEez is odorlessand if i had to guess what material this was, I’d say it’s like a polymer-filled PVAglue, but i’m probably wrong there.

It leaves a film that is very robust and can be usedfor many prints without reapplying.

It’s easy to touch up and easy to remove with somewarm water, as the entire film will completely turn to mush and you’ll be able to scrapeit off.

Acetone or alcohol don’t seem to attack the surface, so you can use those toclean it.

So how did it perform? Definitely better with a heated bed than without one.

All the heated prints turned out perfectly, but the cold PLA print already showed somewarping and PET or ABS onto a cold bed failed completely.

Moving on to 3DLac, which is applied by spraying it onto the bed.

And that makes it easy toget a nice, even layer on there.

You do need to completely wet the surface, just a thinwhisp of 3DLac won’t do.

Unfortunately, you do have to apply it outside of your printer,with the bed removed, or you are going to end up with something like this.

And it doessmell like typical hairspray, even more so if you heat the bed.

You do have to reapplyit before every print, a freshly applied surface will work best, but removing a print willalso tear off that spot of 3DLac from the bed.

To completely remove the 3DLac surfaceand start over, you can easily remove it with acetone.

But, i mean, for printing, it worksamazingly well, especially for cold prints.

The heated prints obviously all worked, buteven the cold prints with PLA and PET were surprisingly good.

Cold ABS still failed.

And as a bonus, since the 3DLac actually comes off the bed, large prints will often justpop off when they cool down after you give them a slight tap.

Now, moving on to the solids, starting with the Coropad: And just to get it out of theway, this thing is an absolute adhesion beast.

I did correct for the extra.

3mm of thicknessthe Coropad adds, but everything just stuck to it incredibly well.

Maybe even a bit toowell.

This surface is the only one i could see cold ABS printing happening with.

Adda bit of a brim and maybe print the first layer a bit hotter, and you could have somesuccess getting compact ABS prints out with no heated bed.

Cold PLA worked perfectly,cold PET showed some slight warp, but the really interesting tests are the heated prints.

Because each of them says “bonded” on the side, my remark for how easy it was toremove them.

The PET print even stuck so well that it broke in half and took a sizeablechunk of the CoroPad along with it.

So, maybe, reduce the heated bed temperatures even moreif you’re planning on using it, or just use it cold.

The Coropad in general also isn’tthe most robust surface, as it easily gets kinks and tears from removing stuck prints,especially since the adhesive on its back isn’t particularly strong, probably to makereplacing it easier.

But then again, it is the surface that i got absolutely the mostadhesion out of in the widest range of situations.

Next up, the Zebras, i tested the ZebraSkin,which uses the same material on the surface as the ZebraPlate, but is a good bit thinnersince it’s doesn’t have to hold its own weight as it’s going to stick to your yourbuild platform with the permanent 3M 468 tape on its back.

There is one disadvantage ofusing the ZebraSkin over the ZebraPlate, though, and that’s the fact that it’s incompatiblewith the standard 4mm sensing distance inductive probes.

It’s just thick enough so that thesensor won’t trigger, which, in my case, had the printer shoving the hotend into theZebraSkin.

The ZebraPlate has a few copper layers inside, which spread the warmth fromthe heated bed and also allow the probe to trigger.

It is a relatively sensitive surfacethat will melt when the hotend comes in contact with it, and i’ve routinely found the pieceof paper i use to set the nozzle distance tacked to the ZebraSkin in that spot.

However,it is thick enough to allow for a few sanding passes should you have worn out the top layer.

Adhesion was good for all materials as long as the surface was heated - since the ZebraSkinand Plate have a significant thickness, you’re also going to see a significant temperaturedrop from what the heated bed reads to what you’re actually getting on the surface.

The cold prints for PLA and PET showed a minute amount of warp, but were successful overall,while ABS onto a cold surface looks like it might work with a higher hotend temperatureand a bit of a brim.

And lastly, PEI.

It’s actually quite hardto tell that this bed is coated with a layer of PEI, which is chemically somewhat similarto Kapton.

It’s quite a hard surface coating when cold, but does get quite squeaky stickyonce it’s heated.

For the testing i did for this video as well as with the printingi’ve done on the Lulzbot Mini, i can say that PEI is an extremely robust coating andisn’t going to show any sign of wear in any time soon, even if you’re heavily usingit.

Sven Krause, the guy who made this PEI coated bed calls it a permanent printing platefor that exact reason.

By the way, that’s the same guy who sent me this insane watercooledhotend - and unlike that last one, this one is definitely going to work.

Since the PEIcoated bed, for me, is the entire bed setup minus the undercarriage, he also includeda beefy enough 200W silicone heater for this 16cm bed.

And the PEI works amazingly well- as long as it’s heated.

It’s completely useless when cold and then won’t even printPLA at all, but once it gets that temperature bump, it works beautifully with ABS and PLAand had the prints sitting completely loose once cooled down.

You just shouldn’t tryto print PET, because, for whatever reason, that did not stick at all, even when heated.

It should theoretically work, but at least for me, didn’t.

So do we have a winner that’s, like, the best surface? Well, no, not because they allsuck, but because they’re all good for their own specific use cases.

Pick the one thatfits yours best, but keep in mind that none of the surfaces can do any sort of magic andbend the laws of physics.

If you try to print in cold basement room, especially with anunheated bed, you’re going to get less adhesion than when you’re propping up your printerright next to the fireplace.

Which i wouldn’t recommend, by the way.

You can increase theadhesion with any of these surfaces by moving the nozzle closer to the bed, increasing thehotend temperature for the first layer or using a raft or a brim.

So i hope this comparison was helpful to you - let me know in the comments below this videoif i should do the same thing for the materials that weren’t originally intended as printsurface, like the common blue painter’s tape.

Some also say brown packaging tape workswell for some materials, but i’m not so sure about that.

need to make the correct documentfirst and foremost so choose print and then for my photography document I'mgoing to use a square layout I'm gonna make my document around 260millimeters by 216 millimeters the amount of pages that you're going toadd isn't too important right now because I'm going to show you how todelete and add pages later the default margins are fine and we want to add athree millimeter bleed to our document we can press the link icon to add thebleed around the entire book a document so here is our document for today'sInDesign tutorial I'm going to show you some neat tips on how to add pagenumbers across the entire document as well as some other tips later in today'stutorial we're going to add alt text and logo content in InDesign by seeing asit's the photography booklet we need to set up the imagery professionally inPhotoshop so in Photoshop make a document that isa square and the same size or larger than your InDesign document so I'm goingto use the screen mode here tosee how the booklet will look after is printed and the bleeds are actually cutaway and you can also use the bleed mode here to see the bleeds off your documentto remember that the thin slice around the document that is actually the bleedis going to be cut away after printing so do not put any crucial content inthis more area if you want to add or remove pages you have various differentoptions under the Layout tab you can manually add multiple pages as well asremove multiple pages or you can add a single page automatically now I'm goingto show you how to save time and add a specific part of your design across theentire booklet and for this you want to have the pages window open which you canclick on there right here or you can go up to window in them pages at the topyou're going to see the master pages and if you double click the master pageswe'd then be taken to a double page spread basically whatever you design andplace on these two pages here is going to appear across the entire document sofor example you can add page numbers to do this we take the type tool and weclick and drag to make a type box then go up to type insert special charactermarkers and then page numbers you actually in fact have an A up here ifyou press command or control T you can bring open the typography window andthen you can set the size and the style of the a this a is automatically goingto turn into every single page number on your document by InDesign which you willsee now so go back to the pages window and then select your document with adouble click and you're The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reportedly stopped Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, who just returned to its fold, from displaying posters during its forthcoming national convention.

Also barred, according to Daily Trust, are former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido, his former Kano state counterpart, Ibrahim Shekarau, and Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state.

The report predicted that former Senate president, David Mark and Ahmed Makarfi could also have their posters flooding the event.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who chairs the partys convention planning committee, disclosed the warning to the would-be aspirants after the committees meeting in Abuja.

He also said the movement of some important personalities would be restricted.

The report quoted Okowa as saying the chairmanship and other aspirants would not be allowed to campaign on the convention ground.

“We need to make this announcement to all our party members and well-wishers that the convention is going to be for delegates and we are expecting a little less than 3000 delegates.

“And those delegates have been properly accredited by the accreditation committee.

“And for those our party members that are going to come are welcome to Abuja, but they will not be allowed to come to the eagle square and this is because we want to be sure that we are in a position to deliver a credible elective convention.

“We are trying to put all these processes in place so that we dont over crowd the venue.

I want to urge aspirants to the various positions to please, keep their campaigners away from the convention venue and we believe all campaigns would have stopped by Friday.

“I will not expect any aspirant, especially presidential aspirants to bring their campaign posters, campaigners, men or women to the venue because it will not be allowed.

“And we want to appeal to all of them campaigning to desist from doing that.

Before we hit start to begin the scan, note the order of the pages in the Automatic Document Handler.

Select <START> to scan and create the finished booklet.

The first commercial printers generally usedmechanisms from electric typewriters and Teletype machines.

The demand for higher speed led to the developmentof new systems specifically for computer use.

In the 1980s were daisy wheel systems similarto typewriters, line printers that produced similar output but at much higher speed, anddot matrix systems that could mix text and graphics but produced relatively low-qualityoutput.

The plotter was used for those requiring highquality line art like blueprints.

The introduction of the low-cost laser printerin 1984 with the first HP LaserJet, and the addition of PostScript in next year's AppleLaserWriter, set off a revolution in printing known as desktop publishing.

Laser printers using PostScript mixed textand graphics, like dot-matrix printers, but at quality levels formerly available onlyfrom commercial typesetting systems.

By 1990, most simple printing tasks like fliersand brochures were now created on personal computers and then laser printed; expensiveoffset printing systems were being dumped as scrap.

Chain or train printers, where the characterset is arranged multiple times around a linked chain or a set of character slugs in a tracktraveling horizontally past the print line.

The IBM 1403 is perhaps the most popular,and comes in both chain and train varieties.

The band printer is a later variant wherethe characters are embossed on a flexible steel band.

The LP27 from Digital Equipment Corporationis a band printer.

Bar printers, where the character set is attachedto a solid bar that moves horizontally along the print line, such as the IBM 1443.

A fourth design, used mainly on very earlyprinters such as the IBM 402, features independent type bars, one for each printable position.

The bars moves vertically to position thecharacter to be printed in front of the print hammer.

In each case, to print a line, preciselytimed hammers strike against the back of the paper at the exact moment that the correctcharacter to be printed is passing in front of the paper.

The paper presses forward against a ribbonwhich then presses against the character form and the impression of the character form isprinted onto the paper.

Each system could have slight timing issues,which could cause minor misalignment of the resulting printed characters.

For drum or typebar printers, this appearedas vertical misalignment, with characters being printed slightly above or below therest of the line.

In chain or bar printers, the misalignmentwas horizontal, with printed characters being crowded closer together or farther apart.

This was much less noticeable to human visionthan vertical misalignment, where characters seemed to bounce up and down in the line,so they were considered as higher quality print.

Comb printers, also called line matrix printers,represent the fifth major design.

These printers are a hybrid of dot matrixprinting and line printing.

In these printers, a comb of hammers printsa portion of a row of pixels at one time, such as every eighth pixel.

By shifting the comb back and forth slightly,the entire pixel row can be printed, continuing the example, in just eight cycles.

The paper then advances and the next pixelrow is printed.

Because far less motion is involved than ina conventional dot matrix printer, these printers are very fast compared to dot matrix printersand are competitive in speed with formed-character line printers while also being able to printdot matrix graphics.

Well I decided to go with all my contact information onone side and my best photos on the back of the cart right here.

Simply said, don't concentrate on a very difficult design.

Keep it very simple,especially when you are starting out.

Let your photos speak.

Make that contact.

Get the new clients you want.

People just really want to see your name, your email,phone number, website addresses that's what they really care about.

Once you build yourbrand, once you build your name and you're known, then you can make some very fancy business card.

One very practical advice.

Don't print too many businesscards.

I'm so guilty, guilty as charged.

I was working on trade shows so Iprinted too many.

Now I'm stuck with them.

So when you are creating your businesscards, maybe you realize that something is not working on them very well, youmight want to change photos and such and such, so just print few at thebeginning.

When you give them out, give 2, never 1.

I always smile and say, one foryou and one for your friend.

I had many referred clients to me thatway.

The standard size is H : 2 and W : 3.

5 Inch Number 1 : Simple Shapes When you will design a business card , don't make it complex The shapes you are using in card should be very simple.

See the Demos See very simple and common shapes.

The text shouldn't be overlapped with our shapes and designs.

Another simple but very smart card.

A triangle and some white spaces and simple texts Number 2 : We shouldn't add picture in business card This is one type of unprofessional-ism to me The RGB bitmap images wont be print good in CMYK color modes.

This is another reason for avoiding this.

Number 3 : Include only the most important information in your card.

Lets watch some messy card Bad color composition , too much noise , No alignment Icon is too big and the text is too small More than 4 colors , Extra information When we see a business card the first impression is very important.

Too much information , color and text ruin the smartness of the Card.

There should be logo , Company Name , Tagline , email address , Phone , Website and Physical address only Number 4 : Avoid Full Coverage We should not fill the whole business card with design and text.

These are some rules that can be followed.

There should be some white space White space is good practice Number 5 : Ensure Your Contact Details are easy to follow.

See here the Text are Perfectly balanced and easy to follow The text color should not be overlapped with background color.

Number 6 : Make sure your contact details are correct.

Should not be any typos or spelling mistake or wrong contact details.

It will ruin the whole matter.

Number 7 : Simplicity Don't over design your card.

Follow the First rules Number 9 : Right Color composition , Font and other attributes.

You have to choose color by your topic Yellow stands for Youth and positivism Orange stands for Command and Control Red stands for Power and Urgency Pink is always for feminine Purple stands for peace Blue goes with everything specially safety and confidence Green is a great color too.

Stands for natural and serenity Black goes with luxury and strength So I have to choose color from the perspective of our topic.

What is the main theme of that company If we have already a logo we have to use color from there in business card There are some combination that you can follow.

This is a standard setting The combination can be opposite colors or can be tint from same color.

You have to explore with this things to understand better.

Come to the FONT The font is very important element in card There should be some connection with fonts and design and topics.

There are 4 basic Characteristics in fonts Script , Slab Serif , Serif and Sans serif You have to download fonts sometimes to match better Serif always goes with Corporate Sans Serif goes with Elegant design Scripts is going with handwritten look Slab serif goes with modern Design There are some suggestion of fonts can be used in Business card Common fonts works better in business card because the details should be clean in card.

More than 2 fonts in a card will not be recommended.

Some other rules can be followed There should be enough white space in our card.

The logo and other shapes should have some unity Scattering elements could make your card worst The position of you shapes and texts are important The text should be perfectly aligned and Perfactly sized So i think you guys learn something new today.

We have to understand the topic first then we have to choose color and fonts Gradient shouldn't be used in Card The blend will not give you good output in print Lets compare some good and bad business card.

Watch this , too much color , shapes You will not understand the meaning of this card Nice Card but the blend of colors will not be good in print.

We have to exclude this idea from our head.

This is an ideal card Only 3 color White space , simple font , easy to follow , easy to understand the text.

Just because you have a social security number doesn't mean that you have a credit profile for example, every child in this country is born with a social security number, but they don't actually establish credit for that social security number until they apply for new credit are approved and that credit is reported to the personal credit reporting agencies When credit is applied for approved and reported then and only then will that individual have established credit? Once accounts are reported to the consumer agencies, including Experian Equifax and TransUnion After six months FICO will then issue that consumer an actual credit score Here's a deeper.

Look at the process first credit is applied for Second the applicant is approved for credit that reports to the credit reporting agencies Thirdly, the credit is reported and trade lines are now established Fourthly as multiple accounts are reported a credit profile is established Finally due to the reporting of trade lines and establishment of a credit profile enough information is now available For a credit score to be issued Now that we've looked at how the process works.

Let's look deeper into how it starts Somebody who has no trade lines reporting has no credit profile or score established So if this person was to walk into a bank and try to get a credit card car loan mortgage or other Financing their credit would be pulled But due to a lack of credit they would be denied financing all types of financing if The same person walked in and applied for store credit like staples Lowe's Home Depot Walmart Target or other retailers They would also be denied for the same reason a complete lack of credit but if that same person obtained a secured card or two and waited until those accounts reported then they would have reported trade lines an established credit profile and an established credit score so if they now went into a store to get credit with their Established credit profile and score if they paid their bills as agreed.

They should get approved But if they went into their bank to get a $5,000 credit card, they would still probably be declined because they don't yet have enough established business credit Fundamentally consumer and business credit work exactly the same way Just because you have an employment Identification number does not mean you have established credit just the same as you won't have established Consumer credit just because you have a social security number So if you do walk into a bank and try to get cash credit using your EIN with no credit established You'll always get denied Guaranteed that is unless you did have good personal credit and used it to get approved while supplying your personal guarantee This is why so many people fail building business credit They apply for the wrong type of credit first get tonight Then are convinced that business credit doesn't work If you apply for credit with stores and banks and have no established credit profile for your employment Identification number you will be denied financing Consumer and credit building are just that the building of credit you can't start with the roof You have to start with the foundation first to build off of So you can't start with store or cash credit from your bank if you do you'll get denied 100% of the time First you must build trade lines that report Then you'll have an established credit profile.

Then you'll obtain a business credit score and Finally with an established business credit profile and score.

You can start getting revolving store and cash credit Let's look at some well-known companies business credit Here you can see that Facebook already has 40 business credit trade lines established with Experian Chris oft now has over 130 business credit trade lines established with Experian Apple has 138 business credit trade lines established with Experian Walmart gets 80 percent of their company cash injection from business credit, which is why they have a whopping 513 trade lines reporting to Experian now Every highly successful company in the United States has business credit Walmart, for example has a high credit limit of 50 million dollars reporting But none of these companies started at that limit and were given this many trade lines All of them followed a process to establish their corporate credit and that credit grew with him as their business grew Let's look at some of the most well-known entrepreneurs Steve Jobs Bill Gates Mark Zuckerberg Richard Branson Obviously, none of them were recently personally guaranteeing their business debts When they went out and got a credit line They didn't need to provide their social security number and personally guarantee the debt to get approved Many people might think that they get credit because they're big companies But the reality is the issuing of credit doesn't work this way and never has these entrepreneurs get credit without a personal guarantee because their company's credit can stand on its own not just because they have an EIN The real key to getting business credit is to establish a solid credit profile and score That can stand on its own so you don't need to supply your social security number Once you do this your business can then be approved for credit with no PG or credit check just like every other highly successful company in this country So how do you really start a business credit profile? Most consumer credit starts with secured credit cards or an account that has a well established Cosigner but co-signed accounts and secured accounts really aren't popular or widely used in the business world most business credit star with vendor accounts instead Vendor accounts are accounts that typically offer terms such as net 30 instead of revolving so if you get approved for $1,000 in vendor credit and use all $1,000 of it you'd need to pay that money back in a set term such as within 30 days on a net 30 account and Net 30 account would need to be paid in full within 30 days in Contrast a net 60 account would need to be paid in full within 60 days Unlike with revolving accounts.

You have a set time you must pay back what you borrowed or the credit you used a Net 30 account would need to be paid in full within 30 days in Contrast a net 60 account would need to be paid in full within 60 days Unlike with revolving accounts.

So to start your business credit profile the right way You need to get approved for vendor accounts that report to the business credit reporting agencies Once you've done this you can then use the credit payback what you used and the accounts get reported to dun & bradstreet Experian Equifax Once reported then you have trade lines an established credit profile and an established credit score Using your newly established business credit profile and score.

You can then get approved for store credit and Eventually cash credit without needing to supply your SSN or personal guarantee This is possible because now your EIN credit profile is established and can stand on its own So if you leave your social security number off of the application the credit issuer then pulls your EIN credit Sees a solid profile and score and can then approve you for real revolving credit? one thing to keep in mind is that when you follow the correct steps to building business credit, not all Retailers will approve you just because of your credit profile and score some sources such as Home Depot or RadioShack also have a time and business requirement possibly requiring you to be in business one to three years to get no personal guarantee Credit some sources such as Home Depot Mart require.

You meet certain revenue requirements for no personal guarantee credit also, But most retailers will approve you without these requirements So now you know that any business can get business credit but before you start getting revolving credit at stores and cash visa type credit from sources like Banks you first must have trade lines reported So basically you need credit to get credit the oh so popular lending paradox that so many people get lost in but there's no need to get lost or stuck building business credit is Actually quite simple once you understand that there is a path You must follow a certain order of credit to apply for it Once you follow this order and get your profile and score started then more and more sources will issue you more and more credit When you have ten or more trade lines the real world of business credit opens up and you get the big reward But without question getting your initial credit is the hardest part We now know that we need vendor accounts to start a business credit profile and score you'll actually need a total of five payment experiences reported to start getting revolving store credit a Payment experience is the reporting of an account to a business credit reporting agency so if you get approved with a vendor who reports to dun and Bradstreet and Experian that would count as two payment experiences if that account only reported two D and B That would be one payment experience You'll need five payment experiences to start getting approved for revolving store credit cards using your EIN Only for approval these are credit cards at places like Best Buy Lowe's staples Amazon Dell Apple Walmart and so on You'll then need a total of ten payment experiences to get approved for cash credit such as Visa and MasterCard type credit and To get that cash credit.

You'll also need to have one of those payment Experiences have a ten thousand dollar limit or higher at least to start getting nice limits on the cash credit you secure Now you're starting to uncover the secret formula for business credit building.

So let's revisit what not to do Don't apply for store credit first.

You'll get denied Don't start with cash or bank credit first.

You'll get tonight Don't put your SSN on the application to start your business credit building They'll pull your personal credit and require a personal guarantee To build business credit the right way, you must first start with vendor accounts, then when you have the necessary reported payment experiences You can move on to store credit next followed by cash credit.

You can get vendor credit immediately starting now It'll take those accounts 30 to 90 days to report giving you a profile and score with that profile and score you can then start getting store credit and In a total of about four to six months after starting the process then you can start to get cash credit 90% of vendors in this country do not report the credit they issue you This is why so many business owners think they have established business credit when they don't so you'll need to find vendors Who do report to the business credit reporting agencies? This is the hardest and most challenging part of building business credit But once you get past this major hurdle, it's much easier to take the rest of the steps to get corporate credit Let's take a look at some true starter vendors You must start a business credit profile and score with starter vendors Starter vendors are ones who will give you initial credit, even if you have no credit no score or no trade lines now Most stores like staples will not give you initial starter credit, so don't even try applying Take a look at some actual true starter vendors Laughlin Associates They deal with corporate setup and compliance.

They report to Experian Only for one one listing and E.

I n number are required for approval Their accounts reports to the business bureaus in 30 to 60 days and they offer net 30 terms Credit era is another true starter vendor account They provide both business and personal credit monitoring.

Hi everyone this is Nicki with DesignLike a Pro and in this episode I'm going to show you how to design a program nowthis is basically a multi-page booklet that we're going to design and it's areally popular type of project to be working on an InDesign because it coversso many different industries from dance recitals to church bulletins or programsbasically any type of event or situation where you need to design multiple pageswithin a booklet this is for you now this tutorial is a beginner tutorialthere's a few advanced techniques in here but if you are just starting outwith InDesign this is a perfect tutorial for you because we are gonna go overimporting photos editing and placing text working with character styles andtabs that are really ideal for this type of a program and then also we're goingto save out this program in two different formats which I do have veryspecific tutorials here on design like a pro that I will link for you below butthis is going to go through both options regardless of whether you have a PC or aMac so you should be covered if you're going to be printing professionally orif you're gonna print in-house which let's face it when we're test asdesigners to do recital booklets for example in programs we really don't havea lot of time and we may be making something very simple that we are goingto print in-house so this is going to cover all of those scenarios for you solet's go ahead and dive in I am using the latest version of InDesign but asalways my tutorials here are really friendly to any version that you mayhave available so let's go ahead and fire up and design and get started okayso what we have here is the starting screen that we are going to work withand we're going to create our document size so I'm working with inches you guysthe latest versions of InDesign really make this easy to switch between unitshere so that you can pick what works for you and we are going to create a fiveand a half by eight-and-a-half booklet this is basically half of a letter sizewhich is ideal for many booklets this allows you to print this in-houseyou have a copy machine that's gonna do double-sided printing for you this isgonna allow you to do that on just a regular sheet of paper which is aperfect situation so we're gonna change this to five and a half by eight and ahalf and you can see below here we can see that effect taking so we can seeexactly what the page size is gonna be so there's a few more settings that weare going to leave checked here facing pages because this is a booklet we aregoing to leave facing pages checked if you don't nothing really horrible isgoing to happen but this is just going to flow more like a booklet if we keepthese checked instead of having the pages stacked individually if you knowhow many pages you're going to have you can definitely add that amount here justkeep in mind that in order to have a complete booklet you do have to have theright amount of pages and as I've stated in previous lessons regarding multiplepage booklets an easy standard to go by is something that is divisible by 4because booklets are going to at minimum be four pages to front to back right soas long as you're increasing your page count by four you should be good to goand have a complete booklet meaning that you're not going to have any blank pagesthat you have to deal with so our booklet is just going to be a basic fourpages in this case it's going to be a front and a back you can mark here ifyou want your page to start on a number other than one but in this case we dowant to just start with one and the only other thing that we are gonna add hereis a bleed even if you're printing in-house it's a really good habit tojust automatically apply a bleed here because then you're really thinkingabout items that may go off the page if you're gonna print in house and you'renot dealing with a bleed you don't need this extra feature but like I said I'min the habit of doing this because you just never know and it's a lot easier tohave this from the beginning than to have to go back and add it so these areall of the settings we're going to go ahead and create this and you can seehere that we have our four pages and then it is going to create a completebooklet ie our front and back and then the inside pages if we wanted to addmore we could but like I said you have to add at leastfour pages to make it a complete book so four is the minimum but we could haveeight pages then we need to go up to twelve pages and so on so just keep inmind that if you want to have a complete book you have to go up at least four weare just going to stick to four pages here for the ease of this tutorial solet's go ahead and get started I like to work from the cover down if I have allof the content with me I am very familiar though with having to wait forcontent and not always having everything you need right when you need it so ifthat's the case design for what you have but we're just gonna start with thecover first so I've created a scenario that's very common in the design worldwhere you're given limited information but you just need to work with what youhave so I have three images that I'm going to use here and need to place themstrategically and I have decided to use this because we do have a dance recitalso we're going to use this photo for the cover but we just want to createsomething really neat for the cover you could just drop this photo in here andit's done but I'm just gonna show you a quick little technique to make this alittle bit nicer and this is definitely gonna work very nicely if you're goingto have this professionally printed but it is also friendly to print in-house ifyou need to so I'm dropping this photo in and then I'm going to hold down ctrlor command shift to scale this all the way down so it fills the frame now wordof note here you need to have a high-resolution image meaning that thisis at least 300 out of your camera so that it fills this nicely and it's notpixelated so just make sure that you're not using a web resolution photo thatyou are using a print resolution photo good rule of thumb is anything that's atleast 5 inches by 7 inches is a good place to start you can scale that up anddown pretty nicely without losing any quality for print so now we have thatfilling our page here I'm not going to worry about this going all the way downand you'll see why in a second because I want to place some things on top of hereI want to add a gradient fade to white which is gonnabe really friendly for printing this in-house if we want to but it's justgonna create a neat effect as well I'm gonna move this up just a little bit togive even more white space down here and this is a fun technique so just rightclicking on the photo going to effects and then gradient feather is going tocreate this really cool effect so here is my dialogue box I'm making sure thatpreview is checked so I can see what I'm doing and I want this to start from thebottom and work up now you can see that a couple of things I'm getting someweird lines here this is just an effect of InDesign previewing this for me thisis not going to print like this and you'll see that in the final PDF that itis not going to print like this so I'm seeing this you actually may not seethis it is just an error in the way that it's previewing but we also don't wantthis white to be all the way up here I kind of want to keep it right around thebottom of the ballet shoe and in order to do that we can adjust how thisgradient flows by moving these sliders up here so this kind of cuts it a littlebit shorter the idea is that we don't see a harsh line so I can move the blackup a little bit I can move this a little bit closer to it to get a little morewhite you can even scale this in a little bit to get a little more white sothe idea is just to find a nice compromise without getting too harsh ofa white line and so you can adjust this based on your photo to accomplish thatand when you get something that you like go ahead and hit OK and if you want topreview what you're doing really quick just hit W and I can see now that Idon't have a harsh line there and it's gonna look really nicely when we laysomething on top of it if you want to see this in a high quality just go aheadand change that to high quality it helps a little bit it gets rid of thepixelation of the photo and I can now see it in a in a higher quality and youcan see that those lines are changing as I move around here so those again arenot going to print it's just an error in the way that this is displaying so thenext step is to add some content on top if this is a programtypically it's probably going to be the name of the program or event right solet's go ahead and drop some text in here I'm just going to start typing 2018and it's gonna be a spring recital and it's for a dance school all right nowwe've dropped in some text let's go ahead and style that I want to Centeralign it and I want to do some different fonts here so let's find something herewant something scripty really soft it's a ballet right so we want something alittle bit more soft not too edgy or modern and we're going to bring this upquite a bit and you can see that the air is coming into the 2018 so I'm going toincrease the spacing between that and then bringing dance school down as welland I want to make dance school a nice clean sans-serif and then I'm going tomake it all caps as well bump up the size a little bit and one tip I havewhenever you're making anything all caps it's much easier to read when you addsome decent space between your letters so I would always advise a minimum of 50spacing here between your tracking so I'm up a little bit more because I likeit to be even more space between there but it is a really nice way to go and itmakes it again it makes it a lot easier to read okay so now we have somethinglike this I can go ahead now and move on but I'm gonna take it to the next leveland just add a little bit of color here and a box to separate it from thebackground again you can just leave it just as it is but why not go anotherstep so I'm gonna come over here and grab my rectangle tool and just dry itout and let's go ahead and fill that with a grey colorI'm gonna create a new swatch because we do not have a grey color and I want itto be about 80% on the black so we're going to add it and you can see now thatI have that swatch to use in the future problem is it's covering up myso I need to right click arrange and we're gonna send backward one and thenthat allows me to see my text and then I'm going to hold down shift and clickthe text box so the rectangle and the text box is selected come over here andI just want to make sure that everything is Center aligned with my text box andthe black is a little bit hard to read on that dark grey so I'm going to selectthe text box come over here and hit the T and that's going to change it to thefont color instead of a fill color so we're gonna change it to a differentcolor here and let's go with white and now you can see that that contrast is alot nicer okay and then there's only one other thing we're gonna do and we'regonna add some color to this box by creating a stroke around it so let'scome up here to stroke and create a nice size about five and we want that to be adashed line and then I'm gonna come back over here to swatches select the strokeit'll bring it to the front and I want to add a nice pink color one tip I haveis always to pull colors from the images that you're using it's a great way totie your color palettes together and it gives you some color ideas if you'recompletely stuck on what to do so we are going to create a nice pink color andyou can do this just by dragging around here and finding something that issimilar you can also use the eyedropper tool over here if you would like but Iwant I don't want as light of pink as the ballet shoe I just want somethingthat is close to it all right we'll try something like that and now you can seethat we have a nice pink stroke and it looks like it goes with this photo sothat just dressed things up a little bit for you and now it's time to move on toour interior pages so I'm going to zoom out here so you can see we now have aleft and a right page so typically what is good on these pages is it's going tobe the program itself we're confine this to two pages just to showyou some examples of formatting text for a program but you can continue thisprogram as many pages as you need to so my trick is always to work from the backforward meaning I place images first which is then going to allow me tounderstand where I can place text so it's time for our next ballet image andwe've got this cute little image of these girls so we're going to place thisnow here's a tip for you again I'm gonna hold down command or control shift tosize this if you are going to print this in-house I would strongly advise thatyou keep all of your content within these pink margins just to ensure thatwhen you print you don't have an issue with things being really close to theedge and then you'll have a nice border around everything that's uniform acrossall of your pages so the same would be true for this cover image you may wantto bring this guy in to this margin line and that way if you were to print thisin house you're not gonna have issues you're gonna have this white border herebut again it's gonna look nice and even for all situations if you're going tohave this professionally printed then definitely maximize bleeds because itlooks nicer to go all the way across but that's one very quick way to accommodatewhether you're going to be printing in-house or not so in this case we arejust going to take it all the way to the edge because we are not going to beprinting this in-house so I'm going to position this though so that these girlsare a little bit up so that I have some space down here basically moving that upso we're just kind of chopping them off a little bit but I will say when itcomes to dance photos you always want to show the feet if anything so it is a petpeeve of mine when people cut the feet off of dancers okay so this gives us alittle bit of space down here and down here we are going to put essentially thenames of our dancers that's that's a good place for this before we do thatthough I'm going to dress this up a little bit by grabbing the linetool I'm just gonna hold down shift and drag this to the end come over here backto stroke and add a nice thick pink line to this something like that and the pinkis already selected from what we were previously doing on the cover if it'snot you can go ahead and select that and that just gives us a little dressy linethat kind of breaks up our photo from our text so now we're going to add inthe names of our students and I just have some filler text here you wouldobviously use content that you have but I am playing this off like we have aname of a character that maybe our dancer is performing and then theiractual name so in this case I'm just writing this out and then I am going toadd a tab one tab here and then we're going to style the tab so if you'venever played with tabs this is a great opportunity to learn how to do them andin this case it's a programs or great use of tabs and tabs basically in theway that we're using this is to have those dots that go all the way acrossseparating two items of content and then you would continue that down the list soit's really great for names in this situation so we're going to come up hereto type tabs and a little box pops up that allows us to style this so wealready have our tab placed so we can see this in action as we're doing itwhich is really helpful we want a right justified tab meaning that it's going toend on the right side of our text box and then we want a period here or a dotas the leader so this is what's going to be duplicated across the entire spacefor our tabs and if I drag out here you can see now that I am placing where Iwant this tab to end and right now I want something like that and if theperiod disappeared just go ahead and put it back and hit enter and now you cansee we have our tab filled in with dots and this will basically continue for aslong as you want it to once you've styled it in my case I am just going toduplicate this down so that we essentially havewhat we want here but you would be typing in the names as you have them butagain this is a really great way to create a justified and even namingsequence for our program so when you're done there I'm going to zoom in herebecause now we're going to do a few things we're gonna style this a littlecleaner notice that I have this a little bit outside of the margin so I'm justgoing to Center that up a little bit better that way we're not too close tothe edge so from here I want to style this first and last so that there's avisual difference between the two things so we've got our character name and ourfirst and last name I want the first and last name to be stat a little differentfirst of all I would like it to be all caps and I am going to change the entirefont here too so let's say Adobe Castellon Pro all right now I'm stylingthis right here because I want to show you a really quick way to stylesomething and then use it again and again and again for similar items so inthis case we want this to be all caps and we're gonna add about eightytracking and we want this to be bold so you can see that that helps that area ofcontent stand out from the other area of content but I want to apply it toeverything below and in this case we're going to highlight this and come overhere to character Styles if you do not see character Styles it's available inStyles character Styles under the window tab and so from here we click the littlehamburger drop-down and create a new character style and the dialog box comesup and let's give it a name let's call it dancer name for reference and you cansee that the styles are being captured here the way that we styled it and if wego ahead and hit OK we now have a character style saved based on this textright here so now if I select all the other ones I can quickly style all of myother names to match making sure that I'm just selecting thetexts that I would like to be styled in this manner okay so you now quickly Ihave been able to style all of this different than the character name overhere and if you find that you want to make further changes a beautiful thingabout character Styles is that if you double click and come back into ourbasic character format we can do some other things here we can say that maybewe want it to be italicized and you can see that any case that's been appliedthe character style and our first one wasn't so we need to go back and fixthat but anytime that we've used that character style it's going toautomatically change for us so it changes all cases of that characterstyle which is a really awesome thing and saves so much time so let's go backand make sure that our example our first example is also labeled dancer name thatway it's good to go the only other thing I'm gonna do here is just add a littlebit more spacing to fill it out you would accommodate this based on how manynames you have here but that just fills out our naming a little bit better sonow we've got something like this okay so in that way you learned how to how touse tabs and then how to maximize using character styles to save a lot of timeand effort when styling a lot of the same text on this next page in programland it's very useful to use this page as your actual program right so in thiscase I have again some examples to save us some timeso I'm going to just copy that over here in the case that I just copied this overa lot of times you may be getting information from another resource whichit may be in a Word document so you can just copy that text over here and ctrlor command C and then ctrl or command V will paste it as a text box so if you'regetting it from an email whatever you may be getting this text from if you'renot typing out yourself that is how you bring it over again I'm gonna Centeralign this and now this is ready to styleand we're going to use different sizes and different fonts to get this stylethat we want this is a really good tip because a lot of times you just get textlike this it's fine but there's no visual hierarchy here so in this case wewould like to have some visual hierarchy so doing so via different fonts and alsodifferent sizes is the way to do that now keep in mind when I say differentfonts I do not mean going crazy with your fonts I still like to keep my fontchoices to three or less but it's how you use them that makes it stand out sofor example the title act 1 let's give that a nice script font and we're gonnamake this a lot larger so that we can read it ok so that softens it up it goeswith our ballet dance theme that we already have going on for the rest ofour text I'm going to keep in line with the same font that we used over here forour names so that was Adobe Castle on pro I'm gonna set that and then tofurther enhance this I'm just going to italicize the song name so again you cancreate a character style out of this if you would like to to quickly change thesong name going forward so that it's italicized so I have that and so let'sgo over here and just quickly create a song named character style and do thesame thing for our axe because we're going to have more than one come throughhere and then this is going to be our act title basically and ok so now wehave our act styled and essentially what this is is the dancers over here wouldbe listed under the song name when you actually had content so we are going tomove all of this up slightly just to maximize our space and we have two moreacts that we need to fit in here I am just duplicating what I already have inthe interest of time you would then continue on with your actual content sothis is going to allow us to our character styles that we justcreated to quickly style our content okayand this needs to be act 2 alright and then I want to go ahead andmake these dots pink just to get a little bit of color in here and in thiscase we've got say 2 X you can continue on with your ax as long as you need tobut in this case we're gonna stop here just in the interest of time so if youhad more keep going with this but now we just have 2 X it's a short recital andwe're ready to design the back page so the back page is completely up to youthere's so many options for designing the back of a program I tend to use theback of the program as a contact mechanism or an ad so in this case we'rejust going to do a very quick add learning parents to next year'sregistration of classes and a website to sign up so I have a photo that we aregoing to use it's this adorable horizontal photo I actually want this tobe a vertical photo though so I am going to extend the frame and right-click onthis go to fitting Phil frame proportionately gives us a verticalphoto now since we had enough room and I'm just gonna move her in here and I'messentially holding this over the circle so that I get the hand icon and you cansee that I'm dragging the photo within the frame so I can align this exactlyhow I want to and then a quick W to preview that shows us that she's nowwithin that and we basically got a vertical photo out of a horizontal photoand we have space now above her head for some text content so we are just goingto use a similar format and do not create the recreate the wheel guys justcopy what you already have in this case we are going to copy this text and weare going to paste it over here and drop it over between our marginlines here we're gonna change this to 2019 all right 2019 and this is just gonnasay class registration and then I'm going to delete dance school for rightnow because we're gonna do something different all right and we can leavethis white if we want to it's very easy to read but I want to make it that nicepink color that we've been using just to tie into her dress her little tutu alittle bit butter right and the only other thing I'm going to add in here isa website I want to style this differently so I'm using a differenttext box here and it's just gonna be the website comm and we're going to centerthat up we are going to make this white just so that it contrasts nicely withthe pink we're gonna bring up the size not that much or can bring up the sizeof that to about 20 and then let's bring in a nice bold sans-serif font I alwayslike to capitalize the website it is just something that I do to make itstand out a little more okay and you can leave it like this but I'm gonna goanother step forward and kind of tie in the rectangle that we did at thebeginning of our cover and I want that to be a pink one and we just kind ofwant a stroked rectangle here I'm just eyeballing the placement but that justsort of ties it in nicely and gives it a nice little look okay so there you haveit now we have our complete four-page program ready to go so now what do we dowell we need to save this we need to save all of our hard work so let's saveas I already have one here so I'm just gonna save this as number two this issaving the InDesign document by the way and here we gonow we are going to save this file out for our printer this is if we are goingto professionally print this document and send it off to our printer so inthis case all we need to do is go to I'll export and save our document as aprint PDF and go ahead and save and then we get some options hereI have presets that I already have available in here that I am usingfrequently so I save those out and these in this case we want to have our bleedchecked because we are sending this to print output no color conversion if youneed to export out your PDF and change everything to CMYKthen you would convert to destination preserve numbers and then you would pickwhatever you need to pick for your country and your printing situation inmy case it would be a working CMYK web coded because I do print a lot most ofmy programs I will print uncoated paper advanced I have high-res outlines thisis a PDF preset that I use and I do have a tutorial on setting that up and theneverything else is default so we are hitting OK and then it's going to saveout our PDF and you can see here that this is what that looks like printed andagain you don't see the lines in the actual PDF and you can see thateverything looks okay we have the bleeds checked for printing so we're gonna getsome crossover from our other document and this is ready to send to print sothe only other situation is if you were printing in-house you don't want thepages to be individually stacked you actually want them to show up soregardless of whether you're on a PC or a Mac you would be using the print tobooklet feature it's just a matter of how the printer that you're going to useyou're going to use a postscript for your Mac and then run it through thedistiller which I have a tutorial on that shows you exactly how to do that ifyou're on a PC and you can print to PDF then you can use that feature as well soyou would pick your preset like you normally do if you need to and thesesettings are fine this is a 2 up settle stitch that's what we're going to bedoing because we're essentially printing this in-house and folding it in half ourpreview here shows our four pages as they should if this is wrong or you'vegot a little error here usually the problem is in your printsettings you need to make sure that your paper size says custom that way theactual page size of your document comes through here that's really important tomake sure that this says custom and not letter by default or another option andthen that makes sure that you've got everything fitting as it should and thenI typically just like to keep everything centered on the page but it is going toscale to a hundred percent so it should fit as you want it to again if you havethe option you can print directly to a PDF or you can print to a postscriptfile if you're on a Mac and then run it through the distiller to create yourfinal PDF and that will allow you to print it at your copy machine orwhatever is gonna allow you to print double-sided in this case you're notgoing to need a bleed you don't want it to print bleed that will actually throwyou off a little bit if you don't have the option to print larger thaneight-and-a-half by eleven for example so go ahead and turn that off in thisversion everything else is a okay the way that it is and then we go ahead andhit OK and then you can go ahead and print that PostScript file or print thePDF I just remove that dot INDD save it wherever you need to and now it's goingto create a postscript file for me that I can then create a PDF off of and if wecome over here you can see this postscript file right here and I can goahead and open this in distiller now I'm showing you this option because it isthe version that most of you are going to run into is needing to deal with thisPostScript and it's the one that has the most issues that can come up so ifyou're printing to a PDF just like you did the PostScript file you would justhave a PDF and you're done ready to send that to the printer but in thePostScript opportunity here this is the dialog box that comes up and we need tomake some choices again I have some presets in here so I want to make surethat I'm using those presets the PostScript file doesn't have any ofthose settings applied to it like you would if you were saving a PDF so weneed to go ahead set this and then the other thing thatyou need to double-check is the paper size this again is where a lot of peoplewill have issues so I'm gonna go ahead and run the PostScript file through hereand we'll see what we get but if you do have issues with alignment it usuallylies in your page size not matching up with the document and in this case I cantell you it's not because it's coming up as a portrait with the width it actuallyneeds to be the other way around because our double pages we're thinkingdouble pages now we designed a five and a half by eight-and-a-half booklet butthe pages are side by side so it's actually 11 by eight and a half right sowe just need to make sure that that page size reflects what we're actuallycreating so that when we print it out we print out our eight and half by elevenand fold that in half then we end up with our five and a half by eight and ahalf so you just have to be aware of that when you're doing this and if itdoesn't look right it's usually the paper size that is the issue so I'mgonna go ahead and drop that in there and then we're gonna go ahead and savethis out as a PDF and you can see that it's running through and it created aPDF now the moment of truth is to open this guy up and see what we get okay andhere we have our PDF and you can see that our pages are side by side exactlyhow we wanted side by side right so this is our front in our back and this is ourinside pages so from here I can go ahead and print this on any printer that Ihave access to that is going to allow me to print double-sided so I don'tactually have that in this case but you can now print this double-sided knowthat because you don't have these images in that you may have some issues soagain like I said earlier in the tutorial make sure that you've got whitespace around here to look a lot better but the technique is the same and youcan see the difference between saving this out for a professional printerwhere all of your pages are stacked and they can now take this and put thistogether versus the booklet version which allows you to print this in-housedouble-sided you can send this to your printer by the wayit's just that they typically prefer it like this in all my years of printingprinters prefer it this way where this is very handy if you're printing thisin-house because you don't have to worry about the pages being side by side sothat is two ways that you can save out your final document running it throughthe distiller and again if you have any issues with the way that it looks it ismost of the time related to your PDF settings and it is the page size as theissue as I noted if this was reversed by default we would have had an issuebecause it would have printed out our booklet in portrait mode instead oflandscape mode and we would have had an issue so that was fixing it to match thepage size originally thank you guys so much for watching I know this was apretty detailed tutorial but again this is a project that so many of you haverequested and a lot of us are tasked with doing pretty much on the fly whenyou're Click the Output tab, and then click the Stapledrop-down menu and select Fold and Stitch.

Click OK.

Under Page Sizing and Handling, click Booklet.

Select Both sides from the Booklet subsetdrop-down menu.

♪♪ Welcome back to another episode of “beyond the page”, where we take a closer look at some of the features and workflows that make the Xerox Color C60/C70 the best printer for quality and versatility.

To showcase that simplicity, we are going to demonstrate how easy it is to create a finished booklet using the C60/C70 Printer with the Business Ready Booklet Maker Finisher and the Xerox Square Fold Trimmer.

There are a couple easy scenarios for booklets; In the first scenario, you may want to make a booklet from single pages, and need to impose the pages in a booklet layout, print and finish.

Or in the second scenario, maybe you already have a booklet and all you want to do is scan the original booklet to print and finish to make additional booklet copies.

We are first going to use scenario one, and create a booklet with single pages.

We will scan 8.

5x11 or A4 pages and impose the sheets, then stitch and trim using the booklet maker.

To do this, we are going to use “Booklet Creation”.

In Original Input select 1 sided originals In Fold and Staple Select both Fold and Staple and select Trimming and Pressing Trimming is set to ON and Book Pressing is set to ON and select High for the book press.

Paper Supply is set to Tray 6 for 11x17 or A3.

Programming is done.

Select <START> The 8 originals that were scanned will be imposed and printed and trimmed and stitched into a square fold booklet.

The Xerox Square Fold Trimmer Provides book pressing with a face trim for a polished final document with a square fold on the spine.

In the second scenario, maybe you already have a booklet and all you want to do is scan the original booklet to print and finish to make additional booklet copies.

We would use Copy Mode; select the number of copies, the output paper tray with the job parameters and assure the booklet finishing selections are made.

Before we hit start to begin the scan, note the order of the pages in the Automatic Document Handler.

Select <START> to scan and create the finished booklet.

So for the month of April, we've once againused what we call a smooth strike through effect.

What that is , is we apply a mattevarnish and then inline over the top of the matte varnish we put a flood UV gloss coating.
