Hi everyone this is Nicki with DesignLike a Pro and in this episode I'm going to show you how to design a program nowthis is basically a multi-page booklet that we're going to design and it's areally popular type of project to be working on an InDesign because it coversso many different industries from dance recitals to church bulletins or programsbasically any type of event or situation where you need to design multiple pageswithin a booklet this is for you now this tutorial is a beginner tutorialthere's a few advanced techniques in here but if you are just starting outwith InDesign this is a perfect tutorial for you because we are gonna go overimporting photos editing and placing text working with character styles andtabs that are really ideal for this type of a program and then also we're goingto save out this program in two different formats which I do have veryspecific tutorials here on design like a pro that I will link for you below butthis is going to go through both options regardless of whether you have a PC or aMac so you should be covered if you're going to be printing professionally orif you're gonna print in-house which let's face it when we're test asdesigners to do recital booklets for example in programs we really don't havea lot of time and we may be making something very simple that we are goingto print in-house so this is going to cover all of those scenarios for you solet's go ahead and dive in I am using the latest version of InDesign but asalways my tutorials here are really friendly to any version that you mayhave available so let's go ahead and fire up and design and get started okayso what we have here is the starting screen that we are going to work withand we're going to create our document size so I'm working with inches you guysthe latest versions of InDesign really make this easy to switch between unitshere so that you can pick what works for you and we are going to create a fiveand a half by eight-and-a-half booklet this is basically half of a letter sizewhich is ideal for many booklets this allows you to print this in-houseyou have a copy machine that's gonna do double-sided printing for you this isgonna allow you to do that on just a regular sheet of paper which is aperfect situation so we're gonna change this to five and a half by eight and ahalf and you can see below here we can see that effect taking so we can seeexactly what the page size is gonna be so there's a few more settings that weare going to leave checked here facing pages because this is a booklet we aregoing to leave facing pages checked if you don't nothing really horrible isgoing to happen but this is just going to flow more like a booklet if we keepthese checked instead of having the pages stacked individually if you knowhow many pages you're going to have you can definitely add that amount here justkeep in mind that in order to have a complete booklet you do have to have theright amount of pages and as I've stated in previous lessons regarding multiplepage booklets an easy standard to go by is something that is divisible by 4because booklets are going to at minimum be four pages to front to back right soas long as you're increasing your page count by four you should be good to goand have a complete booklet meaning that you're not going to have any blank pagesthat you have to deal with so our booklet is just going to be a basic fourpages in this case it's going to be a front and a back you can mark here ifyou want your page to start on a number other than one but in this case we dowant to just start with one and the only other thing that we are gonna add hereis a bleed even if you're printing in-house it's a really good habit tojust automatically apply a bleed here because then you're really thinkingabout items that may go off the page if you're gonna print in house and you'renot dealing with a bleed you don't need this extra feature but like I said I'min the habit of doing this because you just never know and it's a lot easier tohave this from the beginning than to have to go back and add it so these areall of the settings we're going to go ahead and create this and you can seehere that we have our four pages and then it is going to create a completebooklet ie our front and back and then the inside pages if we wanted to addmore we could but like I said you have to add at leastfour pages to make it a complete book so four is the minimum but we could haveeight pages then we need to go up to twelve pages and so on so just keep inmind that if you want to have a complete book you have to go up at least four weare just going to stick to four pages here for the ease of this tutorial solet's go ahead and get started I like to work from the cover down if I have allof the content with me I am very familiar though with having to wait forcontent and not always having everything you need right when you need it so ifthat's the case design for what you have but we're just gonna start with thecover first so I've created a scenario that's very common in the design worldwhere you're given limited information but you just need to work with what youhave so I have three images that I'm going to use here and need to place themstrategically and I have decided to use this because we do have a dance recitalso we're going to use this photo for the cover but we just want to createsomething really neat for the cover you could just drop this photo in here andit's done but I'm just gonna show you a quick little technique to make this alittle bit nicer and this is definitely gonna work very nicely if you're goingto have this professionally printed but it is also friendly to print in-house ifyou need to so I'm dropping this photo in and then I'm going to hold down ctrlor command shift to scale this all the way down so it fills the frame now wordof note here you need to have a high-resolution image meaning that thisis at least 300 out of your camera so that it fills this nicely and it's notpixelated so just make sure that you're not using a web resolution photo thatyou are using a print resolution photo good rule of thumb is anything that's atleast 5 inches by 7 inches is a good place to start you can scale that up anddown pretty nicely without losing any quality for print so now we have thatfilling our page here I'm not going to worry about this going all the way downand you'll see why in a second because I want to place some things on top of hereI want to add a gradient fade to white which is gonnabe really friendly for printing this in-house if we want to but it's justgonna create a neat effect as well I'm gonna move this up just a little bit togive even more white space down here and this is a fun technique so just rightclicking on the photo going to effects and then gradient feather is going tocreate this really cool effect so here is my dialogue box I'm making sure thatpreview is checked so I can see what I'm doing and I want this to start from thebottom and work up now you can see that a couple of things I'm getting someweird lines here this is just an effect of InDesign previewing this for me thisis not going to print like this and you'll see that in the final PDF that itis not going to print like this so I'm seeing this you actually may not seethis it is just an error in the way that it's previewing but we also don't wantthis white to be all the way up here I kind of want to keep it right around thebottom of the ballet shoe and in order to do that we can adjust how thisgradient flows by moving these sliders up here so this kind of cuts it a littlebit shorter the idea is that we don't see a harsh line so I can move the blackup a little bit I can move this a little bit closer to it to get a little morewhite you can even scale this in a little bit to get a little more white sothe idea is just to find a nice compromise without getting too harsh ofa white line and so you can adjust this based on your photo to accomplish thatand when you get something that you like go ahead and hit OK and if you want topreview what you're doing really quick just hit W and I can see now that Idon't have a harsh line there and it's gonna look really nicely when we laysomething on top of it if you want to see this in a high quality just go aheadand change that to high quality it helps a little bit it gets rid of thepixelation of the photo and I can now see it in a in a higher quality and youcan see that those lines are changing as I move around here so those again arenot going to print it's just an error in the way that this is displaying so thenext step is to add some content on top if this is a programtypically it's probably going to be the name of the program or event right solet's go ahead and drop some text in here I'm just going to start typing 2018and it's gonna be a spring recital and it's for a dance school all right nowwe've dropped in some text let's go ahead and style that I want to Centeralign it and I want to do some different fonts here so let's find something herewant something scripty really soft it's a ballet right so we want something alittle bit more soft not too edgy or modern and we're going to bring this upquite a bit and you can see that the air is coming into the 2018 so I'm going toincrease the spacing between that and then bringing dance school down as welland I want to make dance school a nice clean sans-serif and then I'm going tomake it all caps as well bump up the size a little bit and one tip I havewhenever you're making anything all caps it's much easier to read when you addsome decent space between your letters so I would always advise a minimum of 50spacing here between your tracking so I'm up a little bit more because I likeit to be even more space between there but it is a really nice way to go and itmakes it again it makes it a lot easier to read okay so now we have somethinglike this I can go ahead now and move on but I'm gonna take it to the next leveland just add a little bit of color here and a box to separate it from thebackground again you can just leave it just as it is but why not go anotherstep so I'm gonna come over here and grab my rectangle tool and just dry itout and let's go ahead and fill that with a grey colorI'm gonna create a new swatch because we do not have a grey color and I want itto be about 80% on the black so we're going to add it and you can see now thatI have that swatch to use in the future problem is it's covering up myso I need to right click arrange and we're gonna send backward one and thenthat allows me to see my text and then I'm going to hold down shift and clickthe text box so the rectangle and the text box is selected come over here andI just want to make sure that everything is Center aligned with my text box andthe black is a little bit hard to read on that dark grey so I'm going to selectthe text box come over here and hit the T and that's going to change it to thefont color instead of a fill color so we're gonna change it to a differentcolor here and let's go with white and now you can see that that contrast is alot nicer okay and then there's only one other thing we're gonna do and we'regonna add some color to this box by creating a stroke around it so let'scome up here to stroke and create a nice size about five and we want that to be adashed line and then I'm gonna come back over here to swatches select the strokeit'll bring it to the front and I want to add a nice pink color one tip I haveis always to pull colors from the images that you're using it's a great way totie your color palettes together and it gives you some color ideas if you'recompletely stuck on what to do so we are going to create a nice pink color andyou can do this just by dragging around here and finding something that issimilar you can also use the eyedropper tool over here if you would like but Iwant I don't want as light of pink as the ballet shoe I just want somethingthat is close to it all right we'll try something like that and now you can seethat we have a nice pink stroke and it looks like it goes with this photo sothat just dressed things up a little bit for you and now it's time to move on toour interior pages so I'm going to zoom out here so you can see we now have aleft and a right page so typically what is good on these pages is it's going tobe the program itself we're confine this to two pages just to showyou some examples of formatting text for a program but you can continue thisprogram as many pages as you need to so my trick is always to work from the backforward meaning I place images first which is then going to allow me tounderstand where I can place text so it's time for our next ballet image andwe've got this cute little image of these girls so we're going to place thisnow here's a tip for you again I'm gonna hold down command or control shift tosize this if you are going to print this in-house I would strongly advise thatyou keep all of your content within these pink margins just to ensure thatwhen you print you don't have an issue with things being really close to theedge and then you'll have a nice border around everything that's uniform acrossall of your pages so the same would be true for this cover image you may wantto bring this guy in to this margin line and that way if you were to print thisin house you're not gonna have issues you're gonna have this white border herebut again it's gonna look nice and even for all situations if you're going tohave this professionally printed then definitely maximize bleeds because itlooks nicer to go all the way across but that's one very quick way to accommodatewhether you're going to be printing in-house or not so in this case we arejust going to take it all the way to the edge because we are not going to beprinting this in-house so I'm going to position this though so that these girlsare a little bit up so that I have some space down here basically moving that upso we're just kind of chopping them off a little bit but I will say when itcomes to dance photos you always want to show the feet if anything so it is a petpeeve of mine when people cut the feet off of dancers okay so this gives us alittle bit of space down here and down here we are going to put essentially thenames of our dancers that's that's a good place for this before we do thatthough I'm going to dress this up a little bit by grabbing the linetool I'm just gonna hold down shift and drag this to the end come over here backto stroke and add a nice thick pink line to this something like that and the pinkis already selected from what we were previously doing on the cover if it'snot you can go ahead and select that and that just gives us a little dressy linethat kind of breaks up our photo from our text so now we're going to add inthe names of our students and I just have some filler text here you wouldobviously use content that you have but I am playing this off like we have aname of a character that maybe our dancer is performing and then theiractual name so in this case I'm just writing this out and then I am going toadd a tab one tab here and then we're going to style the tab so if you'venever played with tabs this is a great opportunity to learn how to do them andin this case it's a programs or great use of tabs and tabs basically in theway that we're using this is to have those dots that go all the way acrossseparating two items of content and then you would continue that down the list soit's really great for names in this situation so we're going to come up hereto type tabs and a little box pops up that allows us to style this so wealready have our tab placed so we can see this in action as we're doing itwhich is really helpful we want a right justified tab meaning that it's going toend on the right side of our text box and then we want a period here or a dotas the leader so this is what's going to be duplicated across the entire spacefor our tabs and if I drag out here you can see now that I am placing where Iwant this tab to end and right now I want something like that and if theperiod disappeared just go ahead and put it back and hit enter and now you cansee we have our tab filled in with dots and this will basically continue for aslong as you want it to once you've styled it in my case I am just going toduplicate this down so that we essentially havewhat we want here but you would be typing in the names as you have them butagain this is a really great way to create a justified and even namingsequence for our program so when you're done there I'm going to zoom in herebecause now we're going to do a few things we're gonna style this a littlecleaner notice that I have this a little bit outside of the margin so I'm justgoing to Center that up a little bit better that way we're not too close tothe edge so from here I want to style this first and last so that there's avisual difference between the two things so we've got our character name and ourfirst and last name I want the first and last name to be stat a little differentfirst of all I would like it to be all caps and I am going to change the entirefont here too so let's say Adobe Castellon Pro all right now I'm stylingthis right here because I want to show you a really quick way to stylesomething and then use it again and again and again for similar items so inthis case we want this to be all caps and we're gonna add about eightytracking and we want this to be bold so you can see that that helps that area ofcontent stand out from the other area of content but I want to apply it toeverything below and in this case we're going to highlight this and come overhere to character Styles if you do not see character Styles it's available inStyles character Styles under the window tab and so from here we click the littlehamburger drop-down and create a new character style and the dialog box comesup and let's give it a name let's call it dancer name for reference and you cansee that the styles are being captured here the way that we styled it and if wego ahead and hit OK we now have a character style saved based on this textright here so now if I select all the other ones I can quickly style all of myother names to match making sure that I'm just selecting thetexts that I would like to be styled in this manner okay so you now quickly Ihave been able to style all of this different than the character name overhere and if you find that you want to make further changes a beautiful thingabout character Styles is that if you double click and come back into ourbasic character format we can do some other things here we can say that maybewe want it to be italicized and you can see that any case that's been appliedthe character style and our first one wasn't so we need to go back and fixthat but anytime that we've used that character style it's going toautomatically change for us so it changes all cases of that characterstyle which is a really awesome thing and saves so much time so let's go backand make sure that our example our first example is also labeled dancer name thatway it's good to go the only other thing I'm gonna do here is just add a littlebit more spacing to fill it out you would accommodate this based on how manynames you have here but that just fills out our naming a little bit better sonow we've got something like this okay so in that way you learned how to how touse tabs and then how to maximize using character styles to save a lot of timeand effort when styling a lot of the same text on this next page in programland it's very useful to use this page as your actual program right so in thiscase I have again some examples to save us some timeso I'm going to just copy that over here in the case that I just copied this overa lot of times you may be getting information from another resource whichit may be in a Word document so you can just copy that text over here and ctrlor command C and then ctrl or command V will paste it as a text box so if you'regetting it from an email whatever you may be getting this text from if you'renot typing out yourself that is how you bring it over again I'm gonna Centeralign this and now this is ready to styleand we're going to use different sizes and different fonts to get this stylethat we want this is a really good tip because a lot of times you just get textlike this it's fine but there's no visual hierarchy here so in this case wewould like to have some visual hierarchy so doing so via different fonts and alsodifferent sizes is the way to do that now keep in mind when I say differentfonts I do not mean going crazy with your fonts I still like to keep my fontchoices to three or less but it's how you use them that makes it stand out sofor example the title act 1 let's give that a nice script font and we're gonnamake this a lot larger so that we can read it ok so that softens it up it goeswith our ballet dance theme that we already have going on for the rest ofour text I'm going to keep in line with the same font that we used over here forour names so that was Adobe Castle on pro I'm gonna set that and then tofurther enhance this I'm just going to italicize the song name so again you cancreate a character style out of this if you would like to to quickly change thesong name going forward so that it's italicized so I have that and so let'sgo over here and just quickly create a song named character style and do thesame thing for our axe because we're going to have more than one come throughhere and then this is going to be our act title basically and ok so now wehave our act styled and essentially what this is is the dancers over here wouldbe listed under the song name when you actually had content so we are going tomove all of this up slightly just to maximize our space and we have two moreacts that we need to fit in here I am just duplicating what I already have inthe interest of time you would then continue on with your actual content sothis is going to allow us to our character styles that we justcreated to quickly style our content okayand this needs to be act 2 alright and then I want to go ahead andmake these dots pink just to get a little bit of color in here and in thiscase we've got say 2 X you can continue on with your ax as long as you need tobut in this case we're gonna stop here just in the interest of time so if youhad more keep going with this but now we just have 2 X it's a short recital andwe're ready to design the back page so the back page is completely up to youthere's so many options for designing the back of a program I tend to use theback of the program as a contact mechanism or an ad so in this case we'rejust going to do a very quick add learning parents to next year'sregistration of classes and a website to sign up so I have a photo that we aregoing to use it's this adorable horizontal photo I actually want this tobe a vertical photo though so I am going to extend the frame and right-click onthis go to fitting Phil frame proportionately gives us a verticalphoto now since we had enough room and I'm just gonna move her in here and I'messentially holding this over the circle so that I get the hand icon and you cansee that I'm dragging the photo within the frame so I can align this exactlyhow I want to and then a quick W to preview that shows us that she's nowwithin that and we basically got a vertical photo out of a horizontal photoand we have space now above her head for some text content so we are just goingto use a similar format and do not create the recreate the wheel guys justcopy what you already have in this case we are going to copy this text and weare going to paste it over here and drop it over between our marginlines here we're gonna change this to 2019 all right 2019 and this is just gonnasay class registration and then I'm going to delete dance school for rightnow because we're gonna do something different all right and we can leavethis white if we want to it's very easy to read but I want to make it that nicepink color that we've been using just to tie into her dress her little tutu alittle bit butter right and the only other thing I'm going to add in here isa website I want to style this differently so I'm using a differenttext box here and it's just gonna be the website comm and we're going to centerthat up we are going to make this white just so that it contrasts nicely withthe pink we're gonna bring up the size not that much or can bring up the sizeof that to about 20 and then let's bring in a nice bold sans-serif font I alwayslike to capitalize the website it is just something that I do to make itstand out a little more okay and you can leave it like this but I'm gonna goanother step forward and kind of tie in the rectangle that we did at thebeginning of our cover and I want that to be a pink one and we just kind ofwant a stroked rectangle here I'm just eyeballing the placement but that justsort of ties it in nicely and gives it a nice little look okay so there you haveit now we have our complete four-page program ready to go so now what do we dowell we need to save this we need to save all of our hard work so let's saveas I already have one here so I'm just gonna save this as number two this issaving the InDesign document by the way and here we gonow we are going to save this file out for our printer this is if we are goingto professionally print this document and send it off to our printer so inthis case all we need to do is go to I'll export and save our document as aprint PDF and go ahead and save and then we get some options hereI have presets that I already have available in here that I am usingfrequently so I save those out and these in this case we want to have our bleedchecked because we are sending this to print output no color conversion if youneed to export out your PDF and change everything to CMYKthen you would convert to destination preserve numbers and then you would pickwhatever you need to pick for your country and your printing situation inmy case it would be a working CMYK web coded because I do print a lot most ofmy programs I will print uncoated paper advanced I have high-res outlines thisis a PDF preset that I use and I do have a tutorial on setting that up and theneverything else is default so we are hitting OK and then it's going to saveout our PDF and you can see here that this is what that looks like printed andagain you don't see the lines in the actual PDF and you can see thateverything looks okay we have the bleeds checked for printing so we're gonna getsome crossover from our other document and this is ready to send to print sothe only other situation is if you were printing in-house you don't want thepages to be individually stacked you actually want them to show up soregardless of whether you're on a PC or a Mac you would be using the print tobooklet feature it's just a matter of how the printer that you're going to useyou're going to use a postscript for your Mac and then run it through thedistiller which I have a tutorial on that shows you exactly how to do that ifyou're on a PC and you can print to PDF then you can use that feature as well soyou would pick your preset like you normally do if you need to and thesesettings are fine this is a 2 up settle stitch that's what we're going to bedoing because we're essentially printing this in-house and folding it in half ourpreview here shows our four pages as they should if this is wrong or you'vegot a little error here usually the problem is in your printsettings you need to make sure that your paper size says custom that way theactual page size of your document comes through here that's really important tomake sure that this says custom and not letter by default or another option andthen that makes sure that you've got everything fitting as it should and thenI typically just like to keep everything centered on the page but it is going toscale to a hundred percent so it should fit as you want it to again if you havethe option you can print directly to a PDF or you can print to a postscriptfile if you're on a Mac and then run it through the distiller to create yourfinal PDF and that will allow you to print it at your copy machine orwhatever is gonna allow you to print double-sided in this case you're notgoing to need a bleed you don't want it to print bleed that will actually throwyou off a little bit if you don't have the option to print larger thaneight-and-a-half by eleven for example so go ahead and turn that off in thisversion everything else is a okay the way that it is and then we go ahead andhit OK and then you can go ahead and print that PostScript file or print thePDF I just remove that dot INDD save it wherever you need to and now it's goingto create a postscript file for me that I can then create a PDF off of and if wecome over here you can see this postscript file right here and I can goahead and open this in distiller now I'm showing you this option because it isthe version that most of you are going to run into is needing to deal with thisPostScript and it's the one that has the most issues that can come up so ifyou're printing to a PDF just like you did the PostScript file you would justhave a PDF and you're done ready to send that to the printer but in thePostScript opportunity here this is the dialog box that comes up and we need tomake some choices again I have some presets in here so I want to make surethat I'm using those presets the PostScript file doesn't have any ofthose settings applied to it like you would if you were saving a PDF so weneed to go ahead set this and then the other thing thatyou need to double-check is the paper size this again is where a lot of peoplewill have issues so I'm gonna go ahead and run the PostScript file through hereand we'll see what we get but if you do have issues with alignment it usuallylies in your page size not matching up with the document and in this case I cantell you it's not because it's coming up as a portrait with the width it actuallyneeds to be the other way around because our double pages we're thinkingdouble pages now we designed a five and a half by eight-and-a-half booklet butthe pages are side by side so it's actually 11 by eight and a half right sowe just need to make sure that that page size reflects what we're actuallycreating so that when we print it out we print out our eight and half by elevenand fold that in half then we end up with our five and a half by eight and ahalf so you just have to be aware of that when you're doing this and if itdoesn't look right it's usually the paper size that is the issue so I'mgonna go ahead and drop that in there and then we're gonna go ahead and savethis out as a PDF and you can see that it's running through and it created aPDF now the moment of truth is to open this guy up and see what we get okay andhere we have our PDF and you can see that our pages are side by side exactlyhow we wanted side by side right so this is our front in our back and this is ourinside pages so from here I can go ahead and print this on any printer that Ihave access to that is going to allow me to print double-sided so I don'tactually have that in this case but you can now print this double-sided knowthat because you don't have these images in that you may have some issues soagain like I said earlier in the tutorial make sure that you've got whitespace around here to look a lot better but the technique is the same and youcan see the difference between saving this out for a professional printerwhere all of your pages are stacked and they can now take this and put thistogether versus the booklet version which allows you to print this in-housedouble-sided you can send this to your printer by the wayit's just that they typically prefer it like this in all my years of printingprinters prefer it this way where this is very handy if you're printing thisin-house because you don't have to worry about the pages being side by side sothat is two ways that you can save out your final document running it throughthe distiller and again if you have any issues with the way that it looks it ismost of the time related to your PDF settings and it is the page size as theissue as I noted if this was reversed by default we would have You can get financing for your business Then a lot of business owners don't know about and the bank's definitely will not tell you about in this video as promised We're gonna dive in and talk about the easiest way to be able to get both Business credit and loans and credit lines for your actual business.
So let's start with business credit so what we're looking at here is the home screen of the Finance suite now The finance suite is a system and the only system in the world that combines your ability to build business credit for your EIN That's not lates your personal social and your ability to get all different types of loans and credit lines as well So since we started with business credit in the first video let's dive in and show you exactly how You can cut years off your business credit building process and can did something that usually takes many years to accomplish? We also help you get set up with Equifax and Experian as well Now you remember we talked about in the first video? Now these vendors are very very very hard to find and in step 3 what we do is we have an accumulation of All different kind of vendors that you can access to build your business credit now the nice thing about these vendors Is that most of them don't require a personal guarantee or a personal credit check? There are some exceptions for some accounts For example such as Wells Fargo where it's a secured credit card that you can elect to get if you'd like to the other nice Thing about this step is we have exclusive vendors in this step vendors that you won't find out there in forums You won't find in other online training on building business credit because we helped create these vendors we helped work with them hand-in-hand to get reported to the business credit reporting agencies and Them and us are really one of the only ones that even know that they do Report to the reporting agencies so in doing so we're able to give you a very large selection of vendor accounts that you can use to build your business credit including accounts like quill and Uline where you can access Millions of products from shipping supplies and office supplies to be able to grow your business We even have clients that have used services like will to get items like bandit signs or yard signs marketing fires printed and even use these to grow their initial business While they were actually coming in and building business crédit.

So you'll know before you apply So for example as we look at quill here, you need to spend $50 to get reported well that's just one of those weird little things that this credit issuer has that if you didn't know about You wouldn't know that your account why your account doesn't get reported so for example You could buy things from quill and spend 30 bucks Pay the bill wait for it to show up on your business credit reports It doesn't show up, but they take 90 days to report So what have you waited the full 90 days only to find out that you needed to spend 50 instead of 30 you would have Just wasted three months of time.
And this is what commonly happens when people build business credit.

This is only one example Every credit issuer has their own unique set of standards that you must meet to get approved well We have an entire data team that all they do is work on building relationships with these credit issuers so we know exactly what their requirements are we make we triple even quadruple verify to make sure the Information here is accurate and it's always up to date We're constantly calling vendors and credit issuers to make sure that the standards that we're putting in front of you are The actual standards and this becomes very important for a lot of reasons First of all some vendors like quill like Seaton and like dim Poor's were long-term vendors If you go to forums if you go to online videos You'll see these recommended as sources to get initial visits a business credit with but unfortunately They no longer report to the business credit reporting agencies So if you went through and tried to build your business credit on your own and got credit with those you'd be spending money with Credit issuers that don't even report and not knowing it and then unfortunately You would wait months to figure out and realize that they didn't report and lose months of time Our goal here is help you build business credit as absolute fast as possible And we do that by making sure you know the underwriting guidelines for every single source in each step So this way you can make sure you meet the requirements before you even apply the other thing we do is we actually Highlight here in color the accounts that you can actually qualify for as you're navigating through sources that you can't qualify for We grade them out So you can't you'll know that those are ones that you don't yet meet the requirements for Then as you continue to build more accounts and get more accounts on your business credit reports more accounts and more sources open up Making it easy for you to access the accounts that you actually can access and get approved for it again We do this a few different ways one we come in in step one and help you set up your business credible incredibly to be able to know you meet the requirements before you apply to we actually in color here show you the accounts that you Can qualify for? Based on how many accounts you currently have on your business credit reports and three We also help you come in and list those underwriting guidelines for every single source So you'll know the ones you can qualify for before you even come in and apply The next thing we do is after you start to build your business credit We actually help you get credit monitoring we help you get the access You need to monitor those business credit reports.
Now, you can go directly to the business credit reporting agencies and pay for credit monitoring It's about two hundred and thirty dollars a month with all three reporting sieze, but the finance suite also has the absolute Cheapest the most affordable way to monitor credit that exists Anywhere today and I'll show you exactly how that works.

You absolutely have to have as you build your business So again, if we look at dun and bradstreet, we see the same summary information public UCC filings and we also see all the detailed trade accounts the Information you need to know to be able to build your business credit you're even able to come in and look at all these individual factors that are affecting your actual credit scores even get alerts When new things are added and when there are changes on your credit report So this way when new accounts are added your business credit reports You can even receive alerts to know that those new accounts are being added This gives you a very affordable and easy way to monitor your credit reports and save twenty two hundred dollars a year than if you were building your business credit on your own and going directly to Experian and under Bradstreet beyond helping you get access to credit monitoring We also teach you how to read your credit reports with reporting agencies Commercial credit reports are very different than consumer credit reports commercial credit reports have a lot of things that you won't see with consumer credit reports So for example when you look at commercial credit reports You'll often time find multiple scores versus just one score when you look at commercial credit reports you'll oftentimes Notice discrepancies or differences from consumer credit reports like there are no creditor names on there So credit issuers don't list their names on commercial credit reports They only list the category they're in so a staples and Office Depot Would not be on your commercial credit reports listed as staples or office depot.
They would be listed as office supplies For example, these are just a few of the many differences that you'll experience as you're building business credit Well in the finance suite we go through and teach you how to actually monitor and read your credit reports with Experian dun & bradstreet And Equifax, so you'll know how their individual scores work You'll know how the reports look and it makes it easy for you to navigate these reports as you're building your business credit Now again, as I mentioned earlier, you can also fix any items on your business credit reports.
So you're starting on Building credit on a positive credit profile.
So here in step four.

I am doing ok So our topic is little different today We will discuss about Design psychology for making some great Business card.
There are so many people know how to design but dont know what to design.
What should be the shape , color concepts , font etc The tips i am going to share with you are absolutely my personal opinion.
I am working with adobe since 2010 and from then i gather so many information and that's what i am going to share.
So please watch the whole video.
This is the first part of the video and in this video i will talk about only design psychology and rules.
There are some varieties in card size.
The standard size is H : 2 and W : 3.
5 Inch Number 1 : Simple Shapes When you will design a business card , don't make it complex The shapes you are using in card should be very simple.
See the Demos See very simple and common shapes.
The text shouldn't be overlapped with our shapes and designs.
Another simple but very smart card.
A triangle and some white spaces and simple texts Number 2 : We shouldn't add picture in business card This is one type of unprofessional-ism to me The RGB bitmap images wont be print good in CMYK color modes.
This is another reason for avoiding this.
Number 3 : Include only the most important information in your card.
Lets watch some messy card Bad color composition , too much noise , No alignment Icon is too big and the text is too small More than 4 colors , Extra information When we see a business card the first impression is very important.
Too much information , color and text ruin the smartness of the Card.
There should be logo , Company Name , Tagline , email address , Phone , Website and Physical address only Number 4 : Avoid Full Coverage We should not fill the whole business card with design and text.
These are some rules that can be followed.
There should be some white space White space is good practice Number 5 : Ensure Your Contact Details are easy to follow.
See here the Text are Perfectly balanced and easy to follow The text color should not be overlapped with background color.
Number 6 : Make sure your contact details are correct.
Should not be any typos or spelling mistake or wrong contact details.
It will ruin the whole matter.
Number 7 : Simplicity Don't over design your card.
Follow the First rules Number 9 : Right Color composition , Font and other attributes.
There shouldn't' be more than 3/4 color You can get some help from here.
The combination is very important in business card.
You have to choose color by your topic Yellow stands for Youth and positivism Orange stands for Command and Control Red stands for Power and Urgency Pink is always for feminine Purple stands for peace Blue goes with everything specially safety and confidence Green is a great color too.
Stands for natural and serenity Black goes with luxury and strength So I have to choose color from the perspective of our topic.
What is the main theme of that company If we have already a logo we have to use color from there in business card There are some combination that you can follow.
This is a standard setting The combination can be opposite colors or can be tint from same color.
You have to explore with this things to understand better.

Come to the FONT The font is very important element in card There should be some connection with fonts and design and topics.
There are 4 basic Characteristics in fonts Script , Slab Serif , Serif and Sans serif You have to download fonts sometimes to match better Serif always goes with Corporate Sans Serif goes with Elegant design Scripts is going with handwritten look Slab serif goes with modern Design There are some suggestion of fonts can be used in Business card Common fonts works better in business card because the details should be clean in card.
More than 2 fonts in a card will not be recommended.
Some other rules can be followed There should be enough white space in our card.
The logo and other shapes should have some unity Scattering elements could make your card worst The position of you shapes and texts are important The text should be perfectly aligned and Perfactly sized So i think you guys learn something new today.
We have to understand the topic first then we have to choose color and fonts Gradient shouldn't be used in Card The blend will not give you good output in print Lets compare some good and bad business card.
Watch this , too much color , shapes You will not understand the meaning of this card Nice Card but the blend of colors will not be good in print.
We have to exclude this idea from our head.
This is an ideal card Only 3 color White space , simple font , easy to follow , easy to understand the text.
Simple but Smart Watch this.
Same things : 3/4 solid color , a little pattern , simple shapes , text are recognizable and easy to follow.
Very simple but smart as well Less color composition.
simple fonts , aligned text.
not too much elements.
